Hiding the truth from someone you care about is not an easy thing to do. Thereafter we hope that our motives were understood. This sad situation would have been disturbing for Tara - so you tried to protect her during her exams. Hopefully she understood and your friendship remained intact.

Yes she did understand later on and thanked me for looking out for her. We are still close friends.
