I had a very good grandmother from whom I learned a lot. She used to care so much. Whenever I visited her for vacation, she used to make some yummy snacks and take good care of me until I stayed with her. I have so many good memories with my grandmother, along with the sad ones, too.
My grandmother had Breast cancer and we lost her because of that. She was not very old when she got breast cancer. I was too young to be very supportive. To be very honest I was scared to go near her and stay with her when she was suffering. I even remember the pain she used to undergo when she had breast cancer. At a later stage, they removed her breast and she only lived for some time after that. I regret not being mature enough then to have provided her with some moral support.
We were not a financially sound family and we couldn't afford any big medication for our grandmother. All we had to do was just to make her feel comfortable during her last days. I think my parents and my aunt did do their best during that time to take care of her but any disease especially cancer is very tough to deal with and we can pray that we should not get that in our life and that we soon have a good medicine for it so that nobody will have to go through that in their life.
The reason why I am writing this article today is because I came across someone who has also suffering from Breast cancer recently. Thankfully they have found it out during the early stages and it appears to be treatable. They say it is important to diagnose at a very early stage so that it is easy to treat. I have seen a lot of awareness programs being conducted across the globe to get checked. A mammogram is a simple diagnostic procedure that can help in detecting breast cancer.
Though we can say that prevention is better than cure, detecting certain things during the early stage can help in rectifying the problem. After it grows bigger it can be a big problem and we may not be able to treat it. Even though we have advanced medical facilities available today, diagnosing at a very early stage and resolving is the best course of action someone can take. There are medical camps conducted for this and in some places, it is even done for free. I request everyone to get this checked and we have to make a cancer-free society.

Breast cancer is a serious threat to women, even those who do not smoke. If someone notices a tumor in their breasts, they should go to the nearest health center.

A lot of women are at the verge of breast cancer but they don’t know so thanks for creating the awareness
Thanks for raising awareness on breast cancer @balaz, some women don't know the symptoms at early stages of cancer and become victims to it. Any abnormalities in your body should be properly checked up with a doctor thus creating your medical profile for future references.
