Good luck with the training. I really ought to research more into how I could be more effective in mine. I assume that if I do a mix of runs it should have a benefit. I have to fit it around other stuff I do. I'm not expecting to break any records anyway.

I have a question for you, Steve:
Do you actually want to do a marathon?
It's easy to get inspired/distracted by other people's goals but they're not always the right goal for us for right now.
Part of me wants to do one whilst it's still possible, but then there are other things I want to do apart from running, so I have to prioritise. I'm sure I'll do more halfs anyway.
