Of course, you can contribute. But you must put into the Public domain each contributed photo. What kind of benefit you are expecting? Glory? :) I'm joking. Well, one of the benefits is posting for example. If you tag the post with LIL then you can get a vote from the LMAC bot. My last LIL post, just as an example.
Second, if someone uses your LIL image, is expected to give you 2% beneficiaries for your element used in the collage. I'm pretty satisfied with that, a lot of people use my LIL images in contests, but, I also use some.
