Which would it be?

My cousin walked into the room and saw me sleeping on the tiled floor. Why are you sleeping on the floor when there’s a bed he asked?

I heard him come into the room in my sleep and opened my eyes and greeted him before he asked his question. I told him it’s because it’s hot. The weather has been hot lately and I don’t know how else to navigate through it except taking frequent baths and sleeping on the floor.

He couldn’t understand the sleeping on the floor saga though. Infact since I came to his house he has seen me more often on the floor than anywhere else.

When I come into the living room, I lie on the floor. He came back one day from work and saw me in his bedroom lying down on the floor and gisting with his wife who was sitting on the arm chair.

He came into the kitchen and saw me sitting on the kitchen floor and eating. And now he saw me again lying down on the floor. He couldn’t help but ask. The other day he said “it’s like you are used to the floor so much”. I just laughed but my answer is yes.

Life has dealt with me so much that am used to the floor. Being on the floor is the basest right? Is there a humbling of a man on the floor. I don’t think so, I choose to remain on the floor, maybe my helper will see me and have mercy on my soul. Hahahaha.

The question is while would you leave a beautiful bed like this and sleep on the floor? Maybe my souls needs more than just a bed.

Another painful thing maybe to him would be that he just bought this massive foam because of me. He didn’t want me lying down on the floor since I came visiting. Uuuh such a caring brother but what do I care.

He even gave me a bed spread five days ago to use on the bed. As you can see it’s still very well wrapped up.

I don’t even know how’s it’s doing me and I don’t even want to bring up the topic of how I fought with some demonic mosquitoes last night cos I fleeted the room two hours before sleep time and yet they came in the mass from God know where. I was up awake again killing mosquitoes.

Maybe If I just go take a walk, after all it’s Wednesday and then I may be able to say how I feel but I know that am definitely still sleeping on the floor tonight.😏. Anyway it’s just a rant.

For you, in a case of so much heat, which would it be? Bed or floor? Or what?
