A Quite Pause in Kasarinlan Park Baras Rizal.

Hello Hivers!
It feels good to sit down and write another story to share with you all. Today, I’m bringing you along on a simple but meaningful late afternoon that reminded me how little moments can turn into the best memories. No fancy plans, no long travels, just fresh air, quiet views and time spent together. Sometimes, that’s really all we need.

This short escape happened in Kasarinlan Park Baras Rizal. We were actually hoping to explore the place a bit more, but unfortunately, it’s still closed due to renovation. At first, I felt a little disappointed because we were already there and excited. But instead of letting that ruin the day, we decided to stay for a while anyway, just enough to relax, eat, and enjoy the view before heading home.

We brought our own camping chairs, which turned out to be a great decision. There’s something about sitting comfortably outdoors, facing a wide open space, that instantly makes you feel calmer. We placed our chairs near the water and just let the moment slow down. No rush. No pressure. Just breathing and being present.
Jeus, of course, made the moment extra special. He was happily eating his hotdog, completely unbothered by the fact that the place was closed. For him, what mattered was the food, the open space, and the freedom to just be a kid. Watching him enjoy such a simple snack with so much happiness made my heart full. It reminded me that children don’t need much to feel joy, sometimes a hotdog and a nice view are more than enough.

As the sky slowly changed colors, the atmosphere became even more peaceful. The lake reflected the soft light of the setting sun, and the clouds painted the sky with calm shades of blue, gold, and gray. It was one of those moments where you just sit quietly because words feel unnecessary. Even with renovation ongoing, the place still had its own kind of beauty.
Jeus also had his playful moments, restless, curious, and observant all at once. At one point, he sat quietly, looking around as if he was taking everything in. Seeing him like that made me realize how important it is to let kids experience nature, even in the simplest ways. No screens, no noise, just the world around them.
We didn’t stay long, but honestly, we didn’t need to. That short pause in our day was enough to recharge us. Before heading home, we packed up our chairs, finished our snacks, and took one last look at the water. It wasn’t a grand adventure, but it was a gentle reminder that peace can be found even in unfinished places.
Days like this make me appreciate slowing down and choosing presence over plans. Even when things don’t go exactly as expected, like finding a place closed, we can still create moments worth remembering.

Thank you so much for reading my blog, Hivers. I truly appreciate you taking the time to join me in this simple story. I hope it reminds you that you don’t always need big trips or perfect destinations to feel relaxed and grateful. Sometimes, all you need is a quiet spot, a snack to share, a chair to sit on, and the people you love beside you. Until the next story, take care and enjoy the little moments in your own journey.
