Which day of the week is your family day?
If you're going to ask me, it's Sunday.
Sunday is the day that workplaces and schools traditionally have the day off.
So that's the day we usually choose to spend quality time with family, rest, and relax.
Just like what happened this bright and cheerful Sunday afternoon.
Our family decided to visit Samgyupsal House Naga for a special lunch.
As we arrived, the area was experiencing a brownout!
The staff lit lanterns, transforming the restaurant into a cozy, intimate setting.
So despite the unexpected ambiance, we decided to dine in and make the most of the experience.
We grill our samgyupsal (pork belly) to perfection.
But one thing we struggled with was to pick up the marinated pork belly, kimchi, and twice-fried potatoes using chopsticks.
The sticks kept slipping, and the food seemed to have a mind of its own.
We giggled and teased each other.
But even with the struggle, the delicious flavors of the Korean BBQ kept us coming back for more.
We savored the tender meat, crunchy kimchi, and spicy Gochujang sauce.
Every time there was a successful pick, we high-fived each other. 😂
We enjoyed the meal, plus the dim lighting added a magical touch to our food.
We chatted, laughed, and savored every bite, feeling grateful for this special time together.
We shared stories and enjoyed each other's company, feeling like we were in our little world.
This brownout at Samgyupsal House Naga unexpectedly turned into a blessing in disguise.
It allows us to focus on what truly matters, which is the bonding over good food and quality time with loved ones.
Until our next family lunch... Buh-bye. 👋💕
