THE "₦" HABIT THAT CHANGED MY MONEY MINDSET

While I was still very much active in trying to manage my small income as a student, I learnt a very important lesson, which was "Do not ever underestimate small money in life"

Many people look down on N200 note. They say it is too small, it cannot buy anything. But I want to tell you something I learnt.

Last year, I started a habit. Anytime I see N200, I don't spend it anyhow. I keep it. I said to myself, let me see how much N200 can become if I respect it. Some of my friends laughed at me. They said "N200 ke? What will N200 do for you?"

But I continued. Every market money, every change from keke, if it is N200, I keep it inside one small box. After 2 months, I opened the box. I had over N18,000 from only N200 notes. I was shocked.

That was the day I understood that no money is too small. N1000 notes are made of N200s. If you cannot manage N200, you cannot manage N20,000. That is truth.

In finance, we always look for big money - we want 1 million at once. But wealth is built from small consistent savings. N200 today, N200 tomorrow, becomes N40,000 in few months.

So my advice is simple: Never underestimate anyone because of their small income, and never underestimate small money because of its size. That small N200 you are ignoring today is the seed of your 1 million tomorrow.

Respect small money, and big money will respect you.
