My end game

@silverd510 published a post a few hours ago titled "What is your end game…."

This is the main take from his post

I stack silver and a little gold, I stack crypto as well, but I also have food provisions, handguns and plenty of ammo.

But that’s not really what I’m talking about.

What is your end game plan…

Whether you are a crypto stacker or a precious metals stacker, do you have an end game plan.

Basically why are you stacking what you are stacking?

Link to post, don't forget to jerk him!

I figured a post expanding on his question would be perfect for a lazy Saturday.

Well, I mainly stack crypto and a bit of silver. But crypto is my main stacking.

The why is easy and chances are my answer is similar to yours. I first started stacking expecting easy millions and an easy life. No surprise, I blew some cash on silly moonshots/scams when I was a beginner instead of going for golden standards like BTC and eth. Eventually I got wiser, but like every other investor that takes pride in their portfolio I do own some silly meme coins. It's actually funny, just my dogecoins and Suzume is probably worth more atm than what the average Joe has in their bank account 😂😂

Today I have enough crypto to retire for a good few years, or for life if I was to move in a shit ass country. So why I do keep stacking crypto? What is my end game?

As I approach my 40s it's clear that even if have enough to feel financial secure, NOW, more is better. Especially when you have a kid and are about to have a second. Sickness or whatever can easily wipe a good chunk of money in an instant. So the end game I guess is to have more. And then some more. Just in case. Plus, it's nice to occasionally spoil yourself with a 5-10k gift and just not give a fuck.

I definitely don't stack though to give my kids an easy life. If they are to inherit my wealth they will have to prove themselves. I grew up a bit spoilt, it only harmed me in the long run. No free ride for the two fuckers!

The other thing I side stack is silver. Nothing fancy, on average I'll usually burn 50-100$ a month to get some coins and shit.

It's more of a hobby and unlike other people, I don't expect silver will moon anytime soon. I like holding something I know it's made of a precious metal. I like learning about its history. I like making posts about it and earning hive :p I like that silver is precious and shiny yet cheap enough to hold a significant amount without spending a fortune. I like gifting it to friends and family. And I like spending hours hunting for good deals or sniping auctions on the last second 😂

For the other thingies @silverd510 mentions...

Guns? Laws are pretty tight here but I do have a hunting license and own a couple of good ol double barreled shotguns. Hopefully, a time to use them won't come. But having a real gun and knowing to shoot it feels good. I have to thank my father for that.

As for gold, I was lucky to have inherited a really significant amount, mostly in the form of jewelry and sovereigns. Not wife changing amount but enough to keep me going of a couple of years. So instead I am concentrating to silver which is imo more fun to collect as I can buy Lord of different shit and stuff with just a fraction of the money. And it's still as easy to sell.

Cash? Meh. Just enough to get me by for a couple months these days. Do stables count as cash? If yes, I have lot more but still don't care to stack more. Just enough to outlast a couple years of bears without any other source of income.

So what's my end game?

Well now that I am financially secure I am not stressing over money like I used to and I have definitely grown a bit complacent. Which feels good. But still I am out for moar. You just can't have enough I guess.

What's yours?

P.S: In the photo is some of my gold. Just some really cool earrings that look like gold nuggets. One of my favorites pieces. :)

Awesome End Game plan.

Financially secure is one of best feelin and relief...mine is same tho in this aspect.. become financially secure and make parents proud.

I think most men don't wanna retire even having Good enough to retite not because they can't have enough and want More but they feel happy and like doing whatever stuff they're involved in.

I missed the boat on crypto at the beginning or I’d probably be like you now. But I’m in now and keep building when I can.

To live long enough to have (fill in the blank)'s stuck to the end of my Yari Spear. Or I'll have to think about it some more.

Great way at looking at things. I work now more because I like it not because I have to, which is a great feeling! That I end up traveling a lot which I also enjoy. Contact work has it's perks! I'm mainly picking up silver these days mostly because the gold prices are just so high right now. I guess in a way I'm at my end game. I work more for fun and don't plan to retire. Same thing here I'm blogging more for my own entertainment than anything else. Great post! Where did you pick up the nuggets by the way?

🌹🌟🌹

Two dogs, two kids. Perfect.

Congratulations.

As for the endgame: I'm already at the end of the game😂 so I am trying to leave as much as possible to my two kids and my granddaughter. I don't trust cash too much so I hope intangibles will carry the day, along with cash. I don't see much security for anyone in the future. Best thing is to be resourceful. Then no matter what happens, there will be a better chance of adapting, and surviving.

My end game is to be financially independent. It's going to be a long road but I don't want to work if I don't have to. To do so, I invest into assets...mainly stocks and crypto right now.

Hi @trumpman this was really enlightening

Nothing fancy, on average I'll usually burn 50-100$ a month to get some coins and shit.

I’ve had this question in my mind for sometime now I guess I should just let it out.

I can understand why people stack silver and gold but why do people stack coins?, like silver and gold coins, is it that these coins appreciate over time and are they quite different from what is being used as a legal tender?

In my country we don’t use coins anymore and when we did, coins were the least value, so I get really curious about people stacking silver and gold coins.

I think the feeling of secure with liquid assets is important. Having silver is like money is disposable easy access !

Right now I'm stacking memories of BTC I should have bought over the years lol. It feels like my stacking for real started with HBD savings but it's not much. My end game is to ride the hive and the goodwill of the community. Its my hobby and I need to devote more to it. My goal is to have 7000 HBD because that will yield me 100ish HBD per month and then I need to make some decisions. (if it lowers from 20% I will change my plans but won't mind)

I stack for a future where I write for a living, but I suck at building a network and I am not good at getting large votes either, so plan B will be expand my two Cubfinance businesses and live off curation.

I have built a few businesses here which are profitable and the investors have done well, so come bear market the earnings should be more then pennies.

I have enough introspection to understand my future relies on my effort, so I keep trying, occaisionally piss people off unintentionally, but try to bite my tongue on my initial response, as pissing people off here earns permanent downvotes and other seemingly un-necessary shit.

What kinda biz do you have on Cub? That sounds interesting! I wasn’t aware of people having full on biz there. Pretty rad!

Just don’t forget to save up some physical value for when the EMP hits 🤯 but systems will come back online in event if something crazy.

Sounds like you got a good mix to balance it all out 👍

I’d say stables don’t count as they can go bad but it’s still extra balance to the full diversified value!

Gotta be honest though, it’s a little scary to me how many people are all in one just the digital side. It’s important but we gotta have physical value always indeed also. You got the right mix!
Cheers 🍻
