Some Rough Days in the World of Crypto
I have been involved with cryptocurrency for years now. I love the excitement of the bull runs and even taking advantage of the bears through careful buys and sells. It was hard not to get exited watching BTC push past the $100,000 level twice now, I was really hoping there would be support at that level. But as we have seen over the last couple of days what goes up can always come crashing back down. Particularly in Hive this past week we've seen that all too well!
Here are the charts of BTC and Hive over the last week from CoinGecko:
BTC is searching for that new support level and seems to be finding in in the mid $90,000's. It also looks like it may be preparing for another push upward. BTC has really been moving with the markets when there are large selloffs which is interesting. If the markets continue down we may see more price deterioration, I hope not. I would like to see a nice solid support at $100,000, but time will tell...
Hive is a little more concerning. Its dropped fifty percent over the last week which may be a great time for some buying. I will doing some of that as soon as I feel that things has bottomed out. I'm hoping we're not headed to the sub $0.20 level, but we may well be. Just like everyone I want to see Hive challenge some of the all time highs. But like many, I worry that the DHF is being carelessly mismanaged making it ineffective. It would be nice to see Hive on a major exchange. If it weren't for Simple Swap those of us in the US couldn't move money in or out of Hive.
I personally love Hive and all of the great people here and I'm not going away any time soon. I'm hoping things can be turned around though.
Ronin
Axie Infinity was huge during the last bull run and I made some nice money over there. Then it crashed and was on life support for quite some time. I still have some Axie's that I wasn't able to sell in time, once worth hundreds of dollars they sell for ten dollars if you're lucky. But they have turned things around with a new in game currency AXS. They also have several games built and being built on the chain. I've even messed around with the Axie games again and I'm earning a couple dollars for ten minutes a day. So my once worthless Axie's are at least earning me something once again, although it's only a few dollars!
Pixels is a game that has become popular on Ronin and has been doing well. I've not played it much myself but I know several people who have and made some money doing it. There are a couple others that look promising as well. So Ronin may yet have a bright future, although I once gave it up for dead!
On Hive I'm hoping we see some big games do well. I'm want to see Splinterlands turn things around and save the game. I'm optimistic that Holozing will do well also, let's cross our fingers. The CryptoCompany has several games in development and has Bro Bang! up and running, you can win Hive playing it. Others that I play are dCity and Rising Star, but there are several others that are already up and running here on Hive. I'll have to put together a complete list of all the Hive games in a post here in the near future!

Personally, I've never needed to cash out of HIve and always accumulating to build my account.
I hope the current price draw down was the need for a little Christmas cash by those who get by and are not full time Crypto Maxies , whereas some Hivers just depend on HIve to supplement of their income. Thinking that, I see Hive making up for lost ground in the New Year.
I've never taken any out either, I have moved it in from time to time. But without Simple Swap here in the US you can't move anything in or out of Hive, it's the only option. I'm hoping we see some nice price improvement after the New Year, this was a lousy week for sure!

Watching the market makes me hold my breath at times, lol! Missed it when HIVE's price dropped sub-23 cents but it's still a good time to buy at the current price.
I picked up a little then, it's about at twenty-four right now so if it holds I'll buy some more today. Watching the markets can be exciting or sickening depending on what your investments are doing! lol

I'm definitely bullish on Holozing. I am hoping that this is just the temporary dip that we all assumed was coming before 2025 hit. It doesn't help that there is all this speculation about the news having an impact on it. I'd like to think crypto is separate from all that drama by now!

Every time I say to myself: "I wish I sold some crypto a few days ago and bought some today", but when I see a Bull Run , I'm always afraid of selling, and the Bear catches me off guard.
It really is hard to make the call when to sell in the Bull, some of it come down to luck... I did buy some Hive this morning, but will wait to see if we're really heading up until I make a significant purchase!
I actually remember this happening just before the last bull run. December was sell off time. Then late January it started to heat up just before the bull run.
I'm hoping we see it repeat itself again!

Anxie Infinity was big and many made life-changing money. I think the problem was that the bear market happened and it lost a lot of value in many ways. I think it's one problem with many projects.
The saddest of all is BTC tanking us really dip with that massive correction, but this too happened in December 2020. Let's see how it goes.
