Politics is everywhere you go... Here in Hive is not exception sadly. Controlling spending and inflation are big issues here, but few people ever talk about it. I think many Hive users aren't all that aware of the issues or simply don't care.
The US desperately needs a real third party, right now two political parties (corporations in all reality) run the country. I think most elected leaders don't really care about the people unless in affects their re-election. It's really sad and somewhat embarrassing to see the state of our country.
Haha it's not that many Hive users don't care, I feel that maybe the technical aspects can be too bothersome to actually understand to some extent. The political aspect is a whole new story and so many things are happening that we don't really know about.
As for the US, I think a third party needs to be established. Having only two choices (people) who you might not really want every four years can be daunting and fraustrating. It's like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea..
Drowning in the deep blue sea might be less painful than all of the garbage out of politicians here.... There are lots of other parties, it's just that the majority of people don't look for other options. The two big parties have a stranglehold on the US sadly...

Probably many people do not even understand these things. Even if they are aware of (read and/or heard about) these things.
This can also be said about many other countries, including my country (Hungary).
And many people are not going to vote.
Exactly because all politicians are the same.
Or at least because there are no better alternatives.
Maybe there are bad, worse, and less worse, but no good.
Many people in my country say that if another political party would rule, then (the already bad situation) it would be only worse.
And this is why they are not going to vote in the elections.
Third party has been talked about for decades... I don't think that is ever going to happen...
