I have a lot of followers, but I'm a long way down the rankings for that. I don't particularly aim to get more and will not compromise on what I post. I blog for my own entertainment and hope someone may enjoy it.

I agree. It's not worth making bad compromises for having a bigger following, although you already do (have a bigger following).
Those numbers don't mean too much. I have been meaning to run some checks to see how many of them are still active.
