Difference in opinions breed chaos. And difference in power breeds control struggles. And when these both realms combine with humans. It breeds hatered, feelings of revenge, burn outs and everything else. Negative.

Hive has its own history of power struggles. The era of month and week long downvote wars. Then bad mouthing, cursing, and writing hate letters in comments and more.

Creators of downvotes are to blame. Some might say.

Critising is easy, you just have to sit with a bag of Doritos and blurt out mindlessness. But creating is difficult.

Whether it is creating a downvote function. Or a downvote effect free tribe. Both have its own set of challenges. And executing any of these ideas is a hallmark of bravery.

Vybranium is a Tribe at Hive Engine with its own token - VYB, that has neutralized the effect of downvotes and they don't won't ever affect the VYB rewards of a post.

VYB is cerated to compliment POB, another token of non niche specific Proof of Brain tribe, known for rewarding people for having a brain. It might sound a weird pre-requisite. But creating original content requires at least some brain. And Proof of Brain rewards you in POB tokens just for doing that i.e creating original content and posting under the tags - #pob or #proofofbrain.

And Vybranium also has an account that acts as POB fund - @vyb.pob. A weapon to counter downvote abuse in Proof of Brain. And it is also being used to curate content posted on POB-VYB axis.

Know Your Tribe - Vybranium or Verify Your Brain

• 100 % downvote effect free zone. Any downvote doesn't effect the VYB rewards of your post.

• 100 % self vote free zone. If you prefer self voting, there is a way out by using #no-vyb tag or by not posting under the Proof of Brain community or any of the PoB/Vyb Tribe tags.
• Dealing with the actual tribe abuse using tribe-wide mute and a strict, transparent and responsible moderation.
• Use of more decentralized and justified manual curation to distribute POB & VYB rewards.

VYB Token & Rewards Distribution

The tokenomics is similar to PoB which in turn is similar to Bitcoin. The initial VYB supply has been matched with POB, you can read the Whitepaper to know more about how that injected supply has been apportioned.

As a result POB & VYB are now following same inflation curve. And 90% of the remaining VYB can only be distributed in form of post rewards to authors and the stake based upvoting rewards to the post voters.

Only creating and curating posts with the following tags are eligible for VYB rewards -

• pob
• proofofbrain
• hive-150329 (i.e. posting from the official Proof of Brain front-end)
• vyb
• verifyyourbrain

Vyb operates on 'all staked' Rewards Distribution. And all the rewards you'll receive in VYB would be automatically staked in your Hive Engine wallet.

To further discourage unstaking anyone who will unstake VYB will be temporarily blacklisted from all kinds of Vyb curation initiatives. And will have to part with some VYB rewards.

Vyb Curation Project - VCP

• The motive is to carry out curation using more of distributed stakes rather than a couple of heavily staked accounts.
• @vyb-curation is for general curation based on individual perception. It follows the trails of carefully selected Vyb curators and aims at flexible and diverse distribution of VYB rewards.
• @vyb-check rewards the worthy content selected by curators with bigger rewards after the necessary quality checks and feedback.
• Beside curators; roles like checkers, crunchers and catchers are introduced to ensure quality curation, statistics reporting and administration.

Vyb Moderation Policy & AAT

• Relies on account level tribe wide mute function for moderation. That is enforceable and reversible at will.
• The tribe level mute will only affect the display of Author's content at tribe's frontend and will only deny him the VYB rewards.
• Since Vyb is cross functional with PoB, relevant actions will also be taken against any breach of PoB community guidelines.
• Any account will only be muted only after the careful analysis and review of the situation by the Vyb's AAT (Anti Abuse Team).
• AAT is responsible for monitoring the relevancy of mutes and authorizing its consent. It will also maintain transparency by reporting all the recent mute actions to the community.
• There are pre defined processes and guidelines to execute the mute, and also to appeal for the mute.

Pioneers Of Evolving The Hive Abuse Moderation Management - The Vyb Community

In terms of adoption categories in economics, adopters are classified as the innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority and laggards. But pioneers are the people who make any adoption cycle to emerge. Who invent something worth adopting at the first place.

And I feel that Vyb community has hit that sensitive spot. With the introduction of their all embracing, diverse, decentralized and comprehensive model of moderation and also curation.
