Sometimes you need to take a break from Hive. In the past, I've taken the summer holidays or three weeks off in the autumn - sometimes it's been enforced through a neck injury or similar. All the communities I've worked in have some kind of provision for one or other of the team taking a break: it's important to let others know you won't be around, of course, but most people understand.
I've found it worked well for me if I say I'm going to be away for a set time and I'll be back on x date, and put a little message on my profile to that effect, so everyone knows what's going on. I don't have time at the moment to do anything other than look after Saturday Savers Club - I started making arrangements yesterday for alternatives to curation. Come back when you're ready π
Yes I had breaks at the beginning as I didn't really get it, and then the inconsistencies etc irked me. However that is all in the past.
I will muddle through simply because when I am done with something, that is it.
So no taking a break as such or I would be tempted not to come back.
Thank you so much for the advice Shani, and it is comments like this that provide inspiration, so big hugs and a big thank you!
I'm sure you'll do what's right for you π
