Time For A Break - My HP Delegations While I Am Away

It's time of the year again! For the second time this year, I will be taking a well deserved break from Hive very soon to chill and also spend some time travelling!

This year has been a tough year for many reasons, be it in work, or even in health. As much I hoped to spend more time writing and engaging on Hive, I had to balance the busy commitments in real life, and unfortunately, I have posted less and engaged less. Of course, when there's a will, there's a way, am in the midst of this, I am able to find a good balance for the management of my time. I might not be able to post everyday, but I am heartened that my posts have received a good amount of engagement and appreciation still.

As usual, I will be delegating my additional HP to some of the familiar names to earn some passive returns while I am relatively inactive. The list is slightly shorter than the previous because as we all know, there's always changes on Hive. Some projects have prospered but some projects have dwindled.

So here's my planned delegation later this month, before I step away for my break! (Will undelegate them when I am back!)

@liotes.voter currently have the bulk of my HP delegation because I have been following them for quite some time and I think they have been doing a great job, updating the members weekly, and paying LEN tokens in exchange for the HP delegation on a daily basis. Also, they support good posts within the community.

@ocdb have always been upvoting good posts and I am happy to support their initiatives!

@bdvoter and @splinterboost are accounts that curate Splinterlands-related posts and I am sure everyone who posts something on Splinterlands would have gotten their curation and seen their comments in the post!

@worldmappin is the account for the World Map Pin community and they curate travel posts. I have benefited from some of the selections in their daily Travel Digest and it's a project that I am happy to support too!

@topcomment is an interesting project that I recently came across. They reward good comments in the community and I think this is just an awesome initiative so I want to support this too.

To be honest, I have never quite calculated the APRs for these HP delegation because I have always regarded this portion as my little contribution to the Hive community, and I think some of these decent projects deserved our support! There is of course some daily rewards, be it in Hive or layer 2 tokens, but that's secondary to me, as the bulk of my HP accumulation comes from my posts and manual curation.

I have included two of my friends on Hive, @blitzzzz and @vaynard86, in this list because they have supported me a lot along this journey and I am very grateful to them. So here's just a small little gesture! Use the HP to continue to upvote posts that you like! :)

In case you are wondering there is an estimation for @liotes.voter, I have learnt in my previous round that the amount of HP that one can delegate also depends on Voting Mana, and it's depends what is my Voting Mana at the point of delegation. So while the rest of the 400 HP delegations are fixed, this one will vary a little.

The objective of this delegation is to obtain curation returns, be it in whatever form, and then subsequently convert these returns back to Hive and power up to boost my Hive Power. I think that's a better approach to take when I am away instead of letting the HP sit in my account and earn the basic 3% APR.

Finally, I just want to express my appreciation as well as to share my regret that I won't be able to upvote posts during this period for my friends, for people who are on my reading list everyday, for people who are in the PIZZA guild, etc. So appreciate your understanding on this! Hopefully I have a bit more HP when I return and my vote power will be slightly higher when I am back!
