I had read about it the other day but I haven't had time to check it out. Is it possible to earn anything within the game with the free champions?

You earn an in-game currency (GOLD) for winning battles and owning Champions. But think the in-game currency is not transferable only the NFTs.
Hmm so it's not truly a play2earn. Unless the gold can be used to buy the NFTs that you can sell?
