What an interesting week on Hive
This is @tengolotodo writing today.
After the events of the last few days I can safely say that I no longer know what is acceptable / allowed on Hive!
It would appear that they are going after projects / layer 2 tokens / vote buying schemes and that HSBI is one of those to be targetted. It certainly has been mentioned in posts and comments well more than once!
So until things are clarified by the grown higher ups we have put recruiting on Hive on hold for the foreseeable future.
One thing that has been fed down is that it is frowned upon to keep cashing out and not growing your account.
There was this KE devised ... So ... as we are trying to do things right here at MMO we went and looked up our score...
You can find the tool at the Bee Balanced website
Which told us that ...
Woot Woot, I believe that is an emoji for good job MMO!
Have you worked out your KE?
I love this project created by the very respected long time Hivian in @livinguktaiwan and was lucky enough to have a sneak preview.
I am sure that some of you know she runs the @newbies-guide and is great for helping newbies. In fact it was after I had conversations with her in Discord that I stayed on Hive after being disillusioned by some long term Hivians.
To cut a long story short, you need to check out the project at @apis.hive and the website Apis Hive
This is a snapshot of our account ...
In a nutshell you work your way up to Honey Pots ... We actually powered up 10 Hive on Hive Power Up Day which gave us one Honey Pot!
Now the really cool thing is that this afternoon I was checking our wallet on peakd (see below) and was pleasantly surprised to see....
... that we have been delegated 50 HP for five Honey Pots from @apis.hive . Now for our wee account, that is fluffing mental and shows the good in people on Hive!
I believe we are trying to grow our redfish account on Hive in accordance with these Apis.Hive guidelines
Apis Hive is an initiative designed to help small accounts (redfish) grow on Hive and support them on this journey. The target redfish are the genuine users who are active on Hive, produce original quality content and engage with the community. Most importantly, they have a long term vision to grow with Hive and are not here primarily for the rewards.
We have also met the Apis Hive program criteria, now I am going to list these here as they serve as a good reminder of what I believe to be current thinking of what we should or should not be doing on Hive with our wallets and accounts...
Once you get your first Honey Pot
It's safe to say that we are chuffed we are following the etiquette that new users should be following!
I am sure you have heard that saying bandied aound all over the place. However on Hive it would seem it is more the case of
It's not what you do, it's who you know
As I see plenty of prominent Hivians with KEs well into double digits etc who power down.
Ours is not to reason why but just to do as advised, so thank you Apis.HIve for setting criteriafor us to follow.
Hive is great, but it is complicated enough for newbies especially when they are no set rules written down!
This post is an update on where we are with our Saturday Savers goals.... As I alluded to earlier we did write a post for HPUD
The recap ...
- Save 365 HBD (1 HBD a day)
- Refer 52 users.
I know we are behind, but sometimes things just happen!
It has not made for pleasant reading!
HBD saved as at 22nd March 2025 was 8.21
HBD saved as at 6th April 2025 is 8.392
Number of referrals was 2 at 22nd March 2025
Number of referrals as at 6th April 2025 is still 2
More importantly I think, is that we are growing our HP our staked Hive, our Hive Power.
We are making a goal of 200 HP and seeing how long it takes!
So yeah good progress on the growing the Hive ecosystem front.
Oh well, time for some coffee!
Have a wonderful week, did you save this week? Do let us know in the comments!
You can join in the club and be part of the savers, head over to the @eddie-earner post Saturday Savers Club | Year 5: 2025 Launch and FAQs | 500 HP Prize Draw! | Everyone Welcome for more information.
