For those of you who are new to Hive or blockchains then let me explain what this is all about!

HPUD stands for Hive Power Up Day and it is one day (currently the 1st of every month) where we users come together as a community to increase our HP to strengthen our influence!

Are you with me?

Let's show what we did....

Our starting point was 146 HP and we had 10 HIVE Tokens. The tokens are liquid meaning there are no time constraints on them and they are free to use right now!

We powered up those 10 Tokens or staked them.

And this is how the blockchain showed it ...

Our 10 Hive was successfully powered up into Hive Power!

Which meant our wallet looked like this...

Yesterday we posted Analyzing MMO and March progress and listed our goals for April which was to grow @mmonline to 200 Hp, so this is a big step in the right direction for MMO!

The Power of Power Up Day

  Hive Power Up Day or HPUD is a monthly event here on the Hive blockchain where users are encouraged to power up their Hive tokens into Hive Power. This means converting liquid Hive into staked Hive which increases voting weight and influence within the Hive ecosystem.

• A day of collective growth and empowerment
  HPUD is a day for our Hive community to come together and collectively strengthen the blockchain. By powering up our Hive, we are increasing our influence and contributing to the overall health and stability of the network.

A boost for Hive ecosystem

When more of us power up Hive it increases the total staked Hive Power on the blockchain, which in itself has a number of benefits, including:

• Increased voting weight. The more Hive Power you have the more your vote is worth and the more say you have in governance decisions.

• Reduced inflation: The inflation rate decreases as more Hive is powered up. This helps to maintain the long-term value of Hive.

• Increased network security: A larger staked Hive Power pool makes the network more secure and resistant to attacks. The last thing we want is another takeover attempt..

The bottom line is that it is a fun and rewarding tradition
