What is GLX to you?

Hi friends on Hive. Today, I am glad to share with you my thoughts on the most active token in the Hive-engine market - The GLX token. $GLX is the governance token of the new sports gaming platform created by Splinterlands.

The $GLX token is barely two months old on the Hive blockchain but had become the center of attraction in the Hive-engine markets. It is true that many hive users have cashed out hundreds and thousands of dollars on account of this one token which has many uses.

I am personally happy that I knew about the GLX token from the date of it's release and did make some investment strides though little. It has saved me a lot in the past three weeks and I know others too have their stories to tell about this awesome gaming token.

In this post, I try to summarize my understanding of the utility of the GLX token. They are:

You read that right. GLX token came at a very good time. A time when the crypto markets has been down. Every staker of SPS receives GLX daily as a reward and some have investors with huge SPS stakes have sold out a good chunk.

During the first bull run of the GLX market, I sold some of my earned GLX for Swap.Hive and cashed out over $10. Besides, I bought back more GLX when the price plunged to this present state.

2. A DeFi token with a big future

Of all assets in the Splinterlands ecosystem, I see a big future for the GLX token. As a DeFi token, GLX is paying out over 500% APY in GLX plus GLGT token with an unnamed price at the moment.

The tokenomics of GLX is a superb one that would keep the token ahead in value in the months and years to come.

3. A Governance token for Genesis League Sports platform

The Genesis League Sports platform is built to host several sports games. Starting with Genesis League Goals, we anticipate tennis, cricket, golf, sprint, hurdles, racing, and many more sports games on the platform in the future.

Servicing the entire sports gaming platform with the numerous games to come in the future would create more need for the GLX token and that would make its value rise.

4. A reward for loyalty in the Splinterlands community

The ongoing GLX airdrop to SPS stakers in the game is a reward for loyalty. This is what the GLX represents. The Splinterlands team always putting the players and investors ahead in the decisions and considerations is a great feature of the game ecosystem.

GLX token remains a not to miss token in Hive-engine and in the Splinterlands ecosystem.
