My SPK Network Node is Live - Delegate to the NiftyNode!

I finally got around to it...

About a week ago, I finally got around to setting up my SPK Network Claim Chain node. This is something I wanted to do right when it became possible, but I just have not had the time to do it. SPK Network is something that a lot of people are very excited about around here, myself included. If you haven't heard of it, I highly suggest heading to the official LightPaper and website to get educated. I could never begin to explain how it works, but I can definitely tell you what it is.

In simple terms (not really), SPK Network is an IPFS (inter-planetary file system) backed decentralized Web3 social media protocol. It's a DPOS network that gives users the ability to store files, create tokens and NFTs, and create breakaway communities. Anyway - I'll leave you to go do your own research as we all should when looking at any web3, NFT, or crypto project. I believe that the guys behind it are creating something that could potentially be another step in the web3 revolution.

If you were holding any Hive Power in your wallet in January of this year, then you are getting a 1 to 1 airdrop of LARYNX tokens. They're distributed monthly and they do have to be claimed or you lose them after some time period (I think). These LARYNX tokens are used to mine the SPK governance token which will be use for all sorts of things on SPK Network. Right now they don't have a lot of use for users that do not run nodes, so the best thing you can do is Power them up and Delegate them to a node operator (like me).

If you've never checked or had no idea you were even eligible for the airdrop... Check out this guide on how to claim your LARYNX. It's incredibly easy, but does have to be done once a month. There's a shortcut to that though built by our friend @arcange called Hive AutoClaim which handles it all for you. It will claim all Hive and Hive Engine tokens as well as LARYNX tokens daily. This service is super useful, and makes claiming all your tokens something you don't even have to think about.

Now that you've discovered your LARYNX tokens stacking up, all you have to do is Power them up just like you power up HIVE or LEO. This can be done on your wallet page under SPK. Keep in mind - you can log into everything here with Hive Keychain so it's super easy. Cool, so you have powered up your LARYNX tokens, you are ready to delegate to the NiftyNode (my SPKCC node) or whichever other node operator you choose.

Just click Delegate under the LARYNX Power section, exactly the same way you delegate Hive or Hive Engine tokens. As you can see in the screenshot above, my node is the same as my username - @l337m45732. I know, I could have made it something different and whatnot but... Fuck it, I wanted people to know exactly who was operating the node. I still call it the NiftyNode and I appreciate every single LARYNX that has been delegated so far. You all are the real MVPs because I hadn't even made a formal post about it yet.

Delegating your LARYNX token will earn you some SPK tokens, which went live not too long ago. You can check out the announcement here for all the details about it. I fully plan on running storage and validator nodes as well as soon as we have the working framework for that. It takes a lot of time and resources to build something like this so shout out to the SPK Network guys. Keep grinding.
