This was the standard for crypto bros around the internet a few years ago....
"Hey you should totally dive into this ICO, it's going to the moon. But not financial advice, do your own research!"
Memes were made, laughs were had but at the end of the day...Was this real legal speak or did we become that helpless as a community that we needed to tell grown adults, to research anything they invested in?
Actually, don't answer that because I'm sure we all won't like the answer...
I say that to begin tonight's post with the following. The disclaimer goes like this:
What I'm sharing is what I did! This is my experience for my own crypto journey. In no way should this be financial advice because well...Do your own research???
Anywho...Something @taskmaster4450 mentioned on the podcast the other day really struck me, and I couldn't help but see how I'm wired a little differently!
This is what I did...
I went ALL IN!
Now, let me frame this. When I went 'all in' that doesn't mean I dropped a few BTC into Hive and called it a day. If you know my story, I joined this blockchain when I had hit rock bottom. My available funds to 'invest' were zero and negative zero. I literally had nothing to my name.
What I did have though was...The most stubborn attitude one can possibly have when it comes to building anything online. My attitude goes something like this...
Show up today, show up tomorrow, and the next and the next...And the days that I don't feel like showing up, I still show up!
So my 'all in' was an approach to building on chain. This blockchain is unique because you can grind day in and day out, and be rewarded for your efforts. And that fit my needs perfectly. Because like I mentioned, I had no fiat to invest.
My 'all in' included reading the entire white paper multiple times. Learning everything I could about this thing called 'delegated proof of stake'. I followed and engaged with some of the accounts I really admired. I powered up, anytime I got an extra 5 bucks. We (@clicktrackprofit) also ended up bringing our entire offchain community to the platform because we saw how much potential was here.
I wanted to become a product, of my product. That's the only way I ever knew how to get behind something, so I immersed myself in learning everything I could about Hive and then took it a step further...I wanted to tell the world about it! Some will call it...A passion! Others call it shilling? lol
But it was a big decision. And 5 plus years later, I still maintain it's one of the greatest decisions I've ever made.
Cool story Jongo, but you must have had some back up plans!
Nope.
Here's the thing, as there's no way to prove it, you would have to take me on my word on it but it's the truth. Everything crypto related I own, is in Hive and it's layer 2 projects. That's it.
I don't own any bitcoin. I never got into Ethereum. What you see is what you get! I'm all in both financially and passionately. With no plan B at all LOL
Now, this is why I say...THIS IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE lol because my goodness Jongo, what is this goes to zero???
To me it's simple...I believe in Hive. Everything about it. It fits me and my goals perfectly. And if it all goes to zero, I'll live with it because guess what....I started here with nothing, and every single Hive I earn going forward is a huge bonus that I'm grateful for!
Stay humble and stay hungry, that's the only advice I could ever give...Financial or otherwise!

Thanks for telling us what it was like for you to go "all in" on Hive and its layer 2 projects. Your love for the platform and desire to work hard are very impressive. It's nice to hear someone in the cryptocurrency community talk about how important it is to do your own study and be in charge of your own investments. There are risks to putting all your eggs in one basket, but it's great that you have faith in Hive and are ready to deal with the possible consequences.
I think that's anti-entrepreneurial. The eggs in one basket is exactly how entrepreneurs think when they are starting out. All in or nothing for me lol
Feels a lot like the way I started the journey in those long ago Steemit days. Maybe one day there will be a CTP type story in my story. Keep inspiring
Thank you sir, crossing fingers for sure. We'll just keep building that up, no matter what!
I can totally relate to this. I started from zero too. I started with commenting, adding my own content. Slowly building HP and then delegating it for daily rewards of HP which I use to powerup. And slowly this is making me stable. When you have literally nothing, that's the when it's hard to get consistent results. And at that point you have to make your step and move on towards risk so that we have some momentum :)
Oh for sure, and I get it...It's super frustrating at first. But the old saying of 'stick to it' really holds truth here!
Awww, your story is so inspiring, my friend. Iam touched on the part that you joined Hive when you hit the rock bottom. Who would have thought that joining the blockchain at the moment, would result into somebody who you are at the present. Perhaps it is through your hard work, commitment, and consistency that made you successful.
Indeed, we can all start Hive when without a Fiat to invest. Just like you, I so love the idea that every single day we are rewards for the contents we created. The first time I joined Hive, I admit I do not really know much about it, but as time gies by, I met inspiring people like you. Now, I am staking and saving the rewards that I get in the platform because my goals are long-term.
Have a nice time my friend and I am genuinely touched by your story. You are incredible!
Appreciate that very much :)
Yeah it was a real dark time in my life, I always say that Hive literally saved my life!
I'm not really even into crypto at all. I bought a bitcoin for like 10 bucks back in the day when it went to 100. The trading platform automatically sold my trade which I still feel is the greatest of injustices, because they said it was too unstable.
After that I just didn't bother - Except for Hive. I don't really see this place as a crypto space (as long as I keep working hard ignoring all the crypto blogs), and all the money i've made writing doesn't feel like money, just feels like numbers I like watching go up, like how I used to double numbers over and over again in a notebook until the whole thing was filled because I'm a loser.
Wait what was I talking about?
Oh yeah, This place ain't going anywhere soon! Not a bad gamble at all.
LOL I hear you. We got into bitcoin at around 100 (had around 50 of them), and then it went to 500 and we sold it all because....It was never going to go higher lol Ooops.
I have been inspired and encouraged.
I am having more reasons to stay in hive ecosystem
You can never go wrong on Hive, dedicate time and effort to it, it's very rewarding and for much more than just the crypto!
Wow thanks so much
What I love about hive is the people. Everyone on hive that I have interacted with has been amazing so far. :)

They really are. I've never had a bad experience with anyone here, knock on wood! lol
In my case, my introduction to a blockchain is due to Pi Network. While waiting, I explored gaming, and that was time I stumbled upon Splinterlands. I never expected that the game is built on the Hive blockchain. After several months of roaming and finally realizing the potential of Hive, I started to use my savings to buy HIVE once or twice a month.
Except for some Pi tokens, I could relate to this:
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Very cool! Yeah I have some PI too, nothing huge but it's mining...Any idea what's going on with it?
The network now is in the enclosed mainnet. They say they would soon migrate to open mainnet. The priority now is for pioneers to complete the KYC so their token balances can be transferred to their wallets. The tokens of those who failed in the validation process will be discarded. I don't know how long will it take to complete such a process. Many have been waiting for too long to see Pi have a market price and can be connected to crypto exchanges.

I think that is probably the greatest show of dedication and trust in Hive - I doubt it will go to zero, it's survived all the ups and downs so far and there are failsafes in place. If you're passionate about Hive, it shouldn't be just about the monetized aspect. I like being on Hive to write and almost have a journal that I can look back on at a later stage and I think many people on here feel similar.
Yeah I mean, what's crazy is that my story isn't unique. A lot of people came here with nothing and next to no knowledge about crypto. But they just kept showing up and learning :)
Having no plan B can sometimes be risky but it seems that it is the only way to go all in on plan A. If I know I have a backup plan at the back of my head, then plan A doesn't get all the attention it needs to succeed. Not financial advice is something we here frequently in this crypto space and yes, it's for very valid reasons!
To me, it's like this...I had nothing when I came here, if I lose it all, I can always rebuild! I think that's 'adventure' with being an entrepreneur. I've rebuilt twice already, hope I never have to again tho lol
Rebuilding from the ground is really not easy but once you've done it before, doing it again becomes less hard. The entrepreneurship adventure always brings this kinds of moments but I also hope you don't experience it again for the third time :)
You can always drive a truck if you stay at 0 again.😉
ha ha ha ha ha ha fair point!!!
Your conviction about this blockchain will bring your success along the way.
I just can't find anything that even comes close. It's so unique!
I had no fiat invest in HIVE either. All in my wallet is thanks to my efforts on HIVE. However, I think to buy some HIVE to strengthen my HP.
That's amazing! And I think that's such a cool story that many of us share!
Awesome fracking sauce 😎
Same. Thank goodness I followed you to the blockchain .
LOL Dude I'm dragging people here no matter what. It's my life mission to tell the world about this place!
Absolutely my friend .
From my perspective, I think there are many people that could benefit from financial advice. At one time I wondered why we did not offer more education in school at younger grades around the use and value of money. Today, I understand why. Those with the money and influence want it that way. I will be the first to admit, I love to play and the by-product of my playing is a revenue stream to help pay some bills and share with others.
Like you, I have started with zero but I have never lost everything. and I did hear something said by @taskmaster4450 as per going all in, There is so much more that needs to be expanded on when ones says I am all in. What does that really mean?
I do admire your passion and that is very important. I have a lot of passion in many areas. One area is to leave my environment in a better shape than when I found it. When I say environment, that includes my well being, my family's well being and most important the well being of others in our community. I think it is important and necessary to use daily deliverables from a blockchain system in a way that encourages more people outside of the system to join a more favorable and equitable system when it comes to ecommerce.
Once again I thank you for exercising my brain.
Have an awesome day.

LOL Man I hear you on that. I never understood why things like entrepreneurship and business was never taught in traditional schools. Especially here in Canada!
Wao you really put it all in. But you made it, $Hive is not going to zero soon. And I hope you do some inversion on the physical word (aka a house 😅).

LOL Oh no doubt. My dream is to see so many people literally live off their efforts here. What an awesome story that would be to share to the world!
Thanks for the this headsup. As I am allmost all back on tracks. I need to read n learn. And remember what was and will be ;) Thx again
Appreciate you man, awesome to see you back in the mix!
It's all about consistency or commitment. In a way, I look at how compound interest works. You either commit time or money. Either way, without it, you aren't likely to get close at all to generating or reaching financial independence.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Exactly! I love to think of it that way, it keeps me showing up daily. Because I know, if I stop...The compounding stops too!
Not financial advice but I thread and blog and engage and interact and comment and read and have fun :)
That's it man, it's a ton of fun to spend time here. Rewarding as well :)
The more development on Hive the better!
Absolutely!
Excited for the rest of the year. Lots of cool things bubbling!
As much of a Hive guy I am, I still haven’t read the white paper. 🤦🏾♂️
Pretty noobish of me but easily correctable. Amazing tech though, I wouldn’t blame anyone for selling bits for hive… 🫡

It's actually not bad at all, I think the one on Hive.io is very straight forward. I was reading the legacy chain's blue and white papers...You could see how all the smart people who wrote it, worked for STINC lolol
Money is useful. Yes, this is financial advice. 😉
Yours is a perfect example of how it's possible to build up tremendously from zero. Not everyone has the mettle to do it, but it's absolutely clear that this is your forte, and I do believe that you'll continue on building as long as the chain keeps going. You're among those who will truly be able to live independently off of what you make here.
Keep on truckin' (yes, pun completely intended)!
Nice pun lol
Appreciate that, yeah that's the dream for sure. And I hope more people can eventually make a living off of their passions here. We have the potential, each of us!!
Works out even better for those with multiple passions! I have plenty of experiences and learning topics about which I'm writing due to my job (not yet published). I'm finding that writing about it actually helps me handle the job a bit better, as well as read more even when it gets difficult to concentrate.
It is nice to continue learning more about hive , and earn more.
Every single day, keep learning about this stuff!!

Nice example that you can make it in crypto if you put your heart, mind and soul into it. I hope that somewhere in the near future I can make the switch to it as well. Simply inspiring!
