In the Spotlight
This is a major event connecting three ecosystems: Dash, Hive, and Maya Protocol (in order of... time in the market).
Inleo is the Twitter-like platform (and not only) on the Hive blockchain that made the whole integration possible.
The story is probably well-known to people on Hive, especially if they have interests in the Inleo platform, but I'll add the gist of it here for whose who don't know it.
The Inleo team created this year the LeoDex interface on the Maya Protocol. Besides using it as a regular interface on Maya with all the perks of inter-connectivity that the Maya ecosystem offers, they had the goal from the start to connect that interface with the Hive ecosystem too, which they did. People are able to trade back and forth against other tokens listed on the Maya Protocol, LEO (Inleo's token from Hive-Engine, a Hive sidechain), SPS (the governance and reward token on Splinterlands) and DEC (the token used for purchases and not only on Splinterlands), but also the two coins of the Hive blockchain, HIVE (governance token and not only) and HBD (stable coin).
To move to the next point of the story, let's say Hive has an annual event called Hivefest, which is more community-driven, touristic attractions-oriented than regular conferences, but it has those too. It was at this year's Hivefest in September where Khal from Inleo and Joel from Dash met and talked about a potential collaboration between Dash and Inleo and how it would look like, as they saw it then. Note that's 2 and a half months ago...
In the meantime, they talked some more, and made some things happen. And we know that especially development takes time...
Now, after the launch of their collaboration, a Dash user can connect to Inleo with their Keystore (which many from the Dash community use, from my understanding - see Inleo tutorial about signing up to Hive and Inleo using a Keystore wallet), get a new Hive account in the process, see a skin of Inleo adapted to Dash, including when it comes to how rewards are displayed or how payments to Premium or subscriptions can be made, or that they can claim their rewards as Dash to their wallets.
In the background, their liquid LEO and HBD rewards would be converted to Dash using the Maya Protocol, in an automated manner that the Inleo team had to create as an alternative to the manual process they had implemented before. I haven't tested the new automated conversion yet, although for myself I would probably continue to use the manual one.
This Inleo announcement mentions that both Dash and Maya Protocol wrote about this partnership on X, and Dash offered to co-sponsor marketing efforts and already started to send PRs to different marketing outlets. The marketing phrase we will likely see often is "Join Inleo, Earn Dash"...
I think it was during the "Launch Party" where Khal said they had a few hundred signups in the first 24 hours alone, and expecting a lot more.
This is the announcement of the Dash team on Hive, by the way.
Marketing / Awareness / Branding
Mazer is a professional esport organization which has been on Hive (@mazergaming) and active since 2020.
In an announcement by the official Hive marketing account, we were presented a new series of promotional activities for Hive and two of its games (Splinterlands and Crypto Shots). Other games will likely be included in future rounds of promotional activities.
Crypto Shots made a related announcement, about a Mazer tournament, taking place tomorrow, November 30th, at 7pm UTC, free to join.
Although Inleo's partnership with Dash and their marketing push likely brings a ton of awareness to Hive too, indirectly, there are other smaller events with rather local effects.
That's a place tied to Hive with regular events where others may find out about the chain. Plus, there is a sense of tied community, with a high likelihood of people sticking around. I read in one of their posts recently (I think it was from @hallmann, I didn't save it, sorry), that given their central positioning in Krakow and windows with an exposure to the sidewalk on at least 1 side (if not two, I don't remember exactly), they were thinking to add a Hive promotional material on the window(s), so it can be seen from the outside. If they do, I hope it'll have a QR code too that will bring them to a spot from where they could join, if they want to.
Inleo team is busy... We also had the pilot of their first in-person onboarding event, and @tsunsica gave us the details.
Every few days, at most, I see a post or more about new businesses being added to the Distriator/SpendHBD network in Nigeria. Is this the new Sucre phenomenon? Here are a few examples from this week:
Governance / Development / Dapps / Education
Another Hive core meeting took place and, as always you can check out the recording and the transcript on @howo's account, even if he missed the meeting.
I'd like to mention from this meeting two things. First, the Blocktrades team is looking at a way to increase the expiration time of transactions without exposing Hive nodes to flooding attacks that could eat a lot of their memory. Their solution is to temporary increase RC costs as time passes for transactions that are waiting. The final RC cost would be normal, but if the RC cost of the waiting transaction increases a lot, it will be dropped by the node. The extended expiration time is needed in case of multisig transactions.
The other thing I want to mention was brought up by Arcange. You know how if you take out all your HBD from savings, the interest remains, and you need another transaction to claim it? He said newer people have reported this to him, and he'd like to see if he can make a clean change of the core code to fix that, meaning if someone takes out everything from their HBD savings, to also withdraw the remaining interest, even if 30 days have not passed. Blocktrades had no objections to this.
In a separate post but also in this meeting, @mcfarhat talks about his team's contribution to Hive Block Explorer.
Hive Keychain Mobile 2.4.3 went out as well as production release for the browser extension with the multisig and 2FA support. Read more here.
This may be an important addition, that doesn't involve credit cards or recurring payments.
One could say: why pay when I can do it for free? Well, it depends for how long we can do it for free, with what waiting times, and what is the max free AI-generated images per day we can generate, especially from top platforms, with the best AI models.
I think this service PeakD started will be very useful at least in the future, if not now, even for non-professionals. Check out their post!
Waivio created another way to make the Hive database useful, and add value to listed businesses through reviews written by people knowing and appreciating them, and linked in a separate Reviews page. I feel I didn't do justice to their post. Much better to read it.
Note that encrypted profiles doesn't relate to Hive profiles, as I thought when I first started reading the post. 😀
It relates to Clive and any settings you have on it (like accounts you watch, for example). From now on, using Clive will need a password to login. Here are the details.
LeoStrategy apparently wants to mimic MicroStrategy's bitcoin strategy, applied to LEO, using as initial funding purchases of LSTR tokens by investors. While the owners of the LeoStrategy project remain anonymous, they say they are big LEO stakeholders, and explain their strategy here.
@manuphotos announced already introduced updates and roadmap for the Hive P2P project, which facilitates p2p transactions between Hive and fiat (Cuban Peso).
Games
Cryptomancer won the first GF Heloise in auction, after a 14m DEC bid (that's 11200 US dollars at today's DEC price), and after almost doubling his own bid, to be sure. All 19 regular foil Heloise's so far have been won with bids higher than 1m DEC.
After leagues will be reset today, on Monday SoulKeep is going to restart tournaments. More details in the soul-keep channel in the Splinterlands discord.
Week in the Crypto World
Metaplanet, a Japanese investment firm, plans to raise 62m USD-worth of JPY to buy Bitcoin, by diluting its stock by around 8% in a rather complex scheme. They already have 1142 BTC worth around 109m USD as of November 28th, 2024. Here are more details.
Speaking of MSTR, they broke their own record and purchased a massive amount of 55,500 BTC on Monday. Read more.
And finally, the last report of this sort I'm adding here, MARA, a blockchain miner, also takes on debt to buy bitcoin.
That seems almost like institutional FOMO, doesn't it?

I met Joel (aka @thedessertlinux) and @hallmann at Hivefest. Very cool people. Lots of interesting stuff happening at the moment and I hope it builds more excitement around Hive.
If not now, then when? I agree, lots of interesting stuff happening for Hive, and it's time for us to make some noise throw these marketing campaigns. Now Inleo & Dash, soon Splinterlands...
All we lack at the moment is a way for HIVE to enter mainstream conversation. Most people in cryptosphere are still unaware of HIVE despite 4 + 4 years of history. Dash and Maya could be the one to change this.
I agree. I was always a proponent of building strong ties to other ecosystems. Dash has a higher notoriety than Hive, for sure, and that will help us. As for Maya, its relation with Thorchain and being an inter-connectivity hub is another thing we need.
Once more assets get added to LeoDEX through HIVE Aggregation Technology, many other projects on HIVE can start considering CEX listings as a secondary priority. They won't even have to go as far as creating a wrapped Token.
The institutional FOMO is kind of crazy, but I think Microstrategy is a bit overvalued. Sure, you might like Michael Saylor because he believes in BTC, but I think it would be better to buy BTC itself rather than invest in a fund.
I think so too, but we can't underestimate the greed of institutional investors who want a proxy for bitcoin.
Personally, I don't like him, quite the opposite, but MSTR purchases do create FOMO, that's clear. Purchasing MSTR or ETF means you continue to own fiat. Purchasing BTC means you own bitcoin (if you hold the keys to the wallet). That's the difference.
Wow this is interesting! Haha! Thanks for sharing!
I guess that should do very well for LEO price, if successful... 😀
Thanks for the mention
You're welcome!
I think the peakD AI image generation is the most exciting of all, I think integrating a small amount of payment for using this feature is decent, giving HBD another on-chain utility as well.
Yes! I also checked the price, and that's pretty low, even if one needs to generate multiple images. Haven't used it yet, but I will try it.
The crypto cycle has changed so we are seeing everything go up in value and the next six to eight months could be very happy for us.
I don't see it changed... It's pretty much the same. But I agree, the next period will be very profitable for crypto holders.
