This is a short sum-up table with the state of my goals in easier TLDR form. The table has only a general overview, with details expanded in the post.
Current State/Other Selection Criterion | Goals Matching the Criterion |
---|---|
Ongoing | 3 (HBD Savings Bull Market End Goal, Posting & Commenting Goal, Staked SPS) |
Main Goals | 3 (HBD Savings Bull Market End Goal, Posting & Commenting Goal, Land Plots Unlocked) |
Goals | 4 (ZING Multiplier, LEO Staking, Increase Grain PP, Staked SPS) |
Temporary Goals | 1 (HIVE Purchased Below 20c) |
Main Goals Completed | 1 (Land Plots Unlocked) |
Goals Completed | 3 (ZING Multiplier, Increase Grain PP, LEO Staked) |
Temp Goals Completed | 1 (HIVE Purchased Below 20c) |
Main Goals Replaced | 1 (52-Week HBD Savings Challenge -> HBD Savings Bull Market End Goal [replaced after week 33 of the challenge]) |
I include a link to the initial goal-setting post for 2024, for reference, if needed.
This multi-year goal morphed from what previously was the 52-week HBD Savings challenge, which was stopped (after week 33).
This is a longer term goal and I don't expect regular pushes toward the target, but rather no or low activity for most of the time, and bursts of HBD added in short time spans later on, toward the end of the bull market.
Looks like I was right yesterday not to sell HIVE and attempt to buy it later at a lower price during the day, which would have been a regular MO during a sideways or a bearish market. The uptrend is still strong.
I kept all my HBD author rewards this time around and moved them to the long term savings account, since I didn't want to buy more HIVE either at this point, even though I still see a long way up for it, overall, during the remaining bull market (with pullbacks at some point, since nothing goes only up).
Current situation of this multi-year goal (mostly intended for 2025):
My loan from saving has been fully repaid as well.
Completed
This was a temporary goal, HIVE-oriented:
Final situation of HIVE purchases during this temporary goal:
Total HIVE Purchased: 705.731 (not updated with purchases after the goal was considered completed)
I haven't missed a daily post this year yet. Reached 1998 posts published, with 7 left to hit the target in 2024. Next week this part of the goal should be achieved!
Here's the situation so far:
I haven't missed any edition of Week through Adrian's Lenses in 2024 either, and I mention this since it's also part of my posting goal. Overall, I reached the 100th edition (round number!) of the weekly roundup which debuted at the beginning of 2023.
I also started the week with 21,024 comments made. Ended the week with 21104 which means I made 80 comments last week.
Completed
Goal of 25000 staked LEO achieved in week 42 (started from the beginning of the year).
Here's the final situation (not updated with new power ups until the year end):
I will participate in the last LPUD of the year with 150 LEOs, even though my goal for 2024 has been achieved.
Goal started in week 39 with roughly 180k SPS (before staking liquid SPS).
I started last week with 194,678 SPSP and finished it with 196,018 SPSP, which means I added 1,340 SPSP last week and today.
I need an average of roughly 1,328 SPS weekly to complete this goal in 2024, which means this week was average.
Here's the situation so far:
Completed
Goal started in week 19 and competed in week 39.
Which is the final status for this target?
Final grain production was 411,721 PP.
The major bottleneck for me here is and has always been for land staked DEC.
Completed
Goal completed in Week 18, with the following situation at the time:
73 plots were productive and 27 were still under construction.
All plots are productive as of week 35. Now I need way more DEC to stake better PP cards on my lower-end land plots.
Completed
Goal completed in week 10 with 25,203 ZING.
Since then, I slowly grew my stash from staking and collection rewards (achievements) only.
We have a new Advent Calendar challenge. This time, we receive the soul-bound resource called Holo dust, every day we claim rewards. At the end of the challenge we'll receive an achievement too.
My ZING holdings are now at 56,687.
This was the final situation when the goal was achieved, I won't keep updating it:

Thanks for the tokens!
Most of your goals are fine except for the comments. I still think it's possible, but it will be rough
Nah, it's unlikely I'll hit that target. I haven't pushed for it either for a few months.
I wanted to ask you a question. Do you think your "5000 HBD end of of the bull run goal" will change depending on how high the price of Hive will go?
It might. Or I will over-achieve it, most likely, if I don't change the target.
What are you most excited about for 2025 in Hive universe?
Good question! And I don't think it has a simple answer, mainly because development takes time, usually more than people expect.
The certainties:
I include here Inleo and Splinterlands, both proving they can aim high, do it professionally, and with great results at times. Between them, Inleo I believe has a great momentum, Splinterlands still needs to build it up.
The exciting stuff:
I include here two things:
VSC and Holozing, each with their own characteristics and potential.
BUT... 2025 is only one year.
VSC is slated to launch in Q1, if it's not postponed, but there are no apps built for it, despite being revolutionary for Hive and in some cases for the crypto space as a whole. Building easy to use apps for it that take advantage of its features will take its time toll as well. I think VSC will be launched with at least one app built by the VSC team, so there will be something to start with.
For Holozing, last I heard they were planning to launch open beta in Q1 as well. We will see if that was postponed to Q2 or not. But open beta is not the full game, it will however be playable, rewards can be won / creatures captured, progress can be made in the game, and it will be open to everyone. Theoretically, they plan to launch the full game next year.
So, both these projects still have a long way to go to fully show their effects, in my opinion.
The interesting:
This is a project that often goes below people's radar, but I think it has and will have a big impact on Hive:
Waivio and at least one website using its infrastructure, which became very successful particularly in LATAM and Nigeria: The Distriator. It's true, the Distriator became popular because of the cashback, not because of its interface/backend.
Waivio continues to be actively developed, and it is interesting to see how resourceful they are in finding new ways to make their platform more useful and easy to use by the various website owners and their users.
Your portfolio is very good, I like it. In the past, the price of LEO was very high, it was a very valuable token. Even 1 LEO = 3 Hive
LEO has a high potential of growth. But so does Hive. I like how things look in 2025 for Hive, with Inleo partnerships and VSC coming in Q1 2025 and everything Splinterlands also has going for Q1.
The people who had done the holding will get a good hypocrite in the next three to six months.
