My Hive Goals, Week 27, 2022
This was a pretty calm week or at least that's how I perceived it. Crypto market saw some relief, after a rough time, and so did HIVE.
During the week, bitcoin moved across the 20k threshold, where it didn't meet any resistance. The bears showed their teeth again when the price hit 22.5k. Let's see a chart:
I've marked on the chart a few elements: the resistance and a series of daily volumes.
Notice on the first green rectangle that the daily volumes decline as the price goes up. Also, on the second green rectangle, notice what the daily volumes are.
Now compare to the red rectangle, after bitcoin price hit resistance, and consider today is not over yet, so there is still trading taking place. Plus last two volume bars are from the weekend when traditional institutions don't trade.
What I'm saying with this is the bear market is still strong or that's my impression of it from reading the chart, without even considering macro-economy factors, which don't look good, at least for the medium term.
But enough about prices. Let's see how I was doing on my Hive goals.
HIVE Power Goal
I've added 105 HIVE Power this week. I have some HBD liquid waiting for a better price and some Hive-Engine tokens I couldn't sell yet for an acceptable price. Both will go toward HIVE.
LEO Staked
Only a couple of LEO staked this week compared to the one before because I have stopped staking regularly, waiting and adding for the LEO Power-Up Day.
Splintershards (SPS) Staked Goal
Again I've staked 1500 SPS this week. Two weeks and 2 days until the airdrop is over, so if I want to achieve this goal by that time and not after that, I'll need to stake 2k SPS each of the following two weeks.
Maxing Chaos Legion Set*
*) or reaching the limit beyond which I consider upgrading a card not profitable

Today we've got the airdrop for the first legendary summoner of the Chaos Legion set: Grandmaster Rathe.
I was quite lucky and received 2 GFLs and 5 regular legendary summoners in the airdrop. I bought another regular one from the market, so now I have Grandmaster Rathe at level 3, plus the two GFLs rented out. Another 5 pieces to max this one out.

Social Targets
I started the week with 8741 comments and 9097 replies.
And now I am at 8863 comments and 9226 replies. They are both above my targets of 81 comments and 76 replies weekly to reach 10k of each by the year's end, which is good!

Earnings season starts tomorrow. Most people are expecting the carnage to start. Given the price increases in the supply chain, I'm not sure what to expect. Next year is also supposed to be pretty bad so I think the bear will go on for a while yet.
Good luck with your goals! Hopefully, things will accelerate in H2.
For me this is great news though as I can stack at lower prices and dont have enough BTC or HIVE just yet!
You are right. Earnings season will definitely bring out some very bad results, and they will bring down the stocks and with that probably crypto too.
The longer the bear market continues, the better it is for accumulation. I wouldn't like bitcoin at 10-12k though.
what do you not like about the 10-12K?
if it goes that low, i doubt it will be there for long.

Buy packs from Splinterlands shop. At least 550 of them for this airdrop to have a guaranteed card being dropped. More on the next one. But you could have been lucky and gotten one with one pack.
This week might not be as calm as the one that just passed:
Two days from now, on the 13th the inflation rate number will be released, if this number is again higher than the last one at 8.6%, I expect more turmoil to happen on the markets. And if this number is higher than the 8.6% you can be sure that on the 27th the Fed will increase the interest rates again which was never a good thing in the past, especially for the crypto markets.

I expect inflation to be worse, so yeah, we might see more dips on high volumes this week. Which is great... if one is in accumulation mode.

Looking good! When I claimed the Splinterlands airdrop, I closed my eyes and was expecting to see a GF summoner but there was no summoner at all... would have been a nice one.

How do you like the new legendary? Is it a card you would use regularly?
I don't know yet. Void Armor is very powerful for Life. Amplify we'll have to see, as it only amplifies damage taken by cards that have Return Fire, Magic Reflect, and Thorns. Its biggest advantage is that it clears a spot for another monster if you want to use Amplify.

Nice job on your goals and I am really starting to hate the Splinterlands airdrop chances. I had over 90% chance for carnage and this summoner but didn't get a single one for the last two airdrops. I might decide to skip out on buying packs in the future because I think the chances are bs but who knows.

I can understand your frustration because it happened to me in the past. What I can tell you is that these are the airdrops that really matter. Besides Doctor Blight, maybe.
