Weekly Hive/HBD Goals (#saturdaysavers update)
Goals
It's always good to set yourself goals, so you have something you can work towards. That is why I joined the #saturdaysavers initiative by @eddie-earner and @shanibeer this year again. In this post I'll share an update on my progress working towards my goals.
Here are the goals I've set to reach before the end of 2025:
- 35,000 Hive (a 23,29% growth)
- 4000 HBD (a 99,60% growth)
- 40,000 Virtual Hive (a 18,38% growth)
The progress
In the following table you can see an overview of the progress of my goals.
Virtual Hive is the total of all my Hive (staked and liquid) plus the amount of Hive I can buy with my HBD at the current price of Hive ($0,224)

I wasn't able to make a post about my progress last week, so I'm comparing the figures with two weeks ago. And compared to that I've gained 367 Hive which resulted in a hive stake above 40K HP! Having over 40,000 HP also means I reached my second goal of 40,000 Virtual Hive.
I was asked yesterday what my goal for the end of 2025 would be, but that still remains the same. This is due to the fact that I need to have some Hive to buy back HBD later this year so I can also reach my third goal.
Since I'm 5000 HP over my goal for 2025 and I need about 4000 HBD to reach that goal, the Hive price needs to be $0.80 for me to reach all three goals.
I don't see that happening anywhere soon, so I'll keep on powering up my Hive for now to get the most out of the curation rewards.
My current stake is giving me a very nice $0.37 upvote from which $0.185 goes to the ones I upvote. It's nice to see that slowly, but steady my upvote is going to have more impact.
The total rewards of the past 7 days are just above $40 which is the average I earn with blogging and curating on a weekly basis.
I keep up my curation APR quite well. Two weeks ago it was just over 8% and now it's 8.75%. This results in 60 HP on a weekly basis. And since my stake is growing, this will also slowly increase.

Great update, man. I'm so glad you've already reached your Hive Power goal. I don't know when Hive will hit 80 cents, but I'm sure you'll be very happy when that day comes.
I don't think that will happen soon too. But a few months of compounding Hive Power and an increase to $0.50 could also make me reach my goals.

Right now I’m desperately trying to figure out how to boost my account. Maybe I should join the Saturday Savers and concentrate on my strategy here a little more closely.
My earnings are somewhat small these days. I’m converting all HBD that comes in to liquid Hive. Adding to that any hive I earn through other means, morning at the moment, I cancelled all delegations - powering up my liquid hive as soon as the HBD converts.
It will be a long time before I grow my HBD.
It’s a little bit meh at the moment to be honest.
Creating quality posts and engaging is key!
Or investing fiat...
