Update on the progress of reaching my Hive and HBD goals

Goals

It's always good to set yourself goals, so you have something you can work towards. That is why I joined the #saturdaysavers initiative this year again. In this post I'll share an update on my progress working towards my goals.

Here are the goals I've set to reach before the end of 2025:

  1. 35,000 Hive (a 23,29% growth)
  2. 4000 HBD (a 99,60% growth)
  3. 40,000 Virtual Hive (a 18,38% growth)

The progress

In the following table you can see an overview of the progress of my goals.
Virtual Hive is the total of all my Hive (staked and liquid) plus the amount of Hive I can buy with my HBD at the current price of Hive ($0,262)

TokenValue 1-1-2025Current ValueTarget Value% of Goal% Change
Hive28,388.60932,660.98635,00064.65+78%
HBD2003,9712,047.1184,0002.17-48%
Virtual Hive36,856.640474.440,000107.64+58%

It has been three weeks ago since I posted my last #saturdaysavers update and a lot has happened since then.
As you can see there are a lot of big changes in the amounts of Hive and HBD. These changes have mostly to do with the fact that I've been exchanging Hive for HBD and back trying to make some profit with that.
I've done some smaller trades in the past weeks which got me some Hive. I wasn't that active with blogging, so this compensated the income from that a bit.
With the recent price fall of Hive I saw a new opportunity and withdrew $2000 HBD from my savings and used it to buy
7,561.44 Hive at the price of $ 0.2645.
I think I'll wait until Hive gets back to $0.30. When I manage to sell it at that price it will only cost 6,666.67 Hive instead of 7,561.44 resulting in a 894,77 Hive profit.
Let's hope the price increases soon!

Rewards

Due to my holiday I haven't created a lot of blogs last week. Because of this I don't have a lot of payouts in the past 7 days; $14,91 in total.

I did share a couple of nice holiday pictures on Snaps which resulted in some extra rewards.

Thanks for reading my update!

You are correct - setting goals keeps one on track and accountable. All the best wishes for your 2025 goals.

It's a sweet decision to buy at 0.26, considering the fact that you'll 0.3 is inevitable in a matter of time and you can just net in the profit. Could have said, you could have waited since that Hive has dipped even further, but I guess we can never catch the market at the highest or lowest

Indeed. As long as it makes me more than I would het with curation I'm completely happy.

Exactly, with the potential Curation reward it's still a win at the end of the day
