It's such a hilarious "fuck you" to paper money.
It seems like this form of gold would be easier to verify as legitimate than bars because it's so thin.
Although it does seem to be laminated?

Yes they are laminated! The only "problem" with goldbacks is their premium. They go for about double the price of the gold they have BUT they are super easy to resell so it really doesnt even matter. There is also an ever growing network of stores accepting them in the USA.
