Why Money Shouldn't be the Real Goal

We all want to earn lot of money, but when we reach to our goal we just increase the amount of our goal. For example, people at first wants 10 Lakhs per annum job then 20 lakhs per annum and then 50 Lakhs per annum and the amount just goes up and up. The greed never stops and we just chase the dream.

But does earning more money should be the goal. If yes what you are missing because of that. Your health, your family time and what not is getting missed because you are chasing the wealth. So what is the real goal if money isn't, freedom is. Freedom to work in your terms, freedom to take leaves when you want and not when you are forced. Freedom to wake up when you want and not when the alarm rings.

But how we can get there. We can get there only when we invest good amount to get some passive income, or a side hustle to generate that income along with reducing our expenses. If the side hustle or dividend pays us the money equivalent to our expenses we would achieve the freedom. Then we have a choice on what we should do. We can spend more time with family, we will not stuck in traffic if we want it.

Now it cannot happen from the day 1, we have to work towards it to achieve it. We have to lower our expenses, increas eour savings and along with that investing where it can generate revenue as well as work on the side hustle which can provide us some money. And while doing this it can help us to achieve what we really want i.e. freedom.

The more money you earn the more money you want to earn and because of that we get into the slavery mode and our health goes for a toss, our family time reduces and what not. But if we are contained with the amount we have and if we really want the freedom, then we have to draw a line on how much is enough for us. I am working towards my freedom number, you should too.
