Too much social media information is just exhausting

I must recognize that I am barely present on my favorite blockchain - Hive - and one reason for that is simply because there is so much information to digest from social media that it is simply exhausting for me. I have some demanding days at work, than I try to keep up to date to what's happening in the stocks and crypto markets where I am invested in and when I get to the Hive blockchain and think of writing something... I simply don't have the energy for that anymore. My brain wants simply to look at the ceiling and stare into the abys hopping to recharge itself from the deep and empty space. And that usually helps and the next day I can begin all over again. But my regret is that I simply don't have the power anymore to be here in full force.

How can you assimilate all this social media data?

I don't want to come up to excuses like my life is too demanding or that I simply have too much things to do in real life, but something is draining my energy and I simply cannot figure what. I should have at least one hour a day that I could dedicate to this platform and the apps from here, but when it comes to it somehow I cannot concentrate to it. And here is where I am asking all of you how do you do that? How do you keep your motivation and are able to come here day after day, create content, engage and make the most of it? Maybe there is something I am missing lately that could help me get back in the groove and find the pleasure of being around without adding a burden on my brain. I simply feel that my mind is overcharged and even if I would enjoy writing on the Hive blockchain, I simply cannot... maybe you have some tips on that.

Maybe choosing quality over quantity is the way to go

I’ve come to a simple realization that I simply cannot ingest more random content. I need better content. Less hype, more substance. If I’m going to spend time online, I want it to feel intentional and not like I just lost an hour doom-scrolling. Social media doesn’t have to be exhausting if we take back control. Thus maybe I should try filtering what I am reading, just pick few subjects I am interested in and digest only that kind of information. But in the same time I don't want to lose opportunities by not keeping my eyes open, so I really experience a dilemma on this...

The web3 shift could be the answer by owning what we create and participate to the economy

This is where web3 captured my attention since 2017 and kept me close as a participant in the Hive blockchain economy. I started exploring platforms that give me control over what I share, how I share it, and how I earn from it and this is how I found Hive initially. Might have been from mistake, but what got me onboard is that ownership matters. Here, instead of feeding algorithms that use my attention and data for someone else’s profit, I can now build something that rewards me for my time and creativity. Being here it is like having a business.

Decentralized social media like the Hive blockchain gives me a space where I’m not bombarded with junk unless I choose to follow it. I can curate what I consume, follow people I actually want to hear from, and even get rewarded for meaningful posts and engagement. It’s like filtering out the noise and turning down the volume. My mind feels that too much content is draining, but the answer isn’t quitting ALL social media. It’s choosing better platforms and consuming with purpose. Web3 gives us that chance and some awesome examples are the Hive blockchain and the InLeo platform built on it. I already accepted that I am hooked to it, but I think this is a place that I truly enjoy and find pleasure in participating and sharing useful information.

What about you?
On what social media platforms - decentralized or even centralized - are you active?

Hello if you think that you want to be here but you can't so you should be a part of any projects on Hive, that will remind you that you have to be here. Earlier I used to do the same but now I am focused on the projects here where I am involved and that are not too much but that keep reminding me that I am the part of hive may be small but I am.

I also use social media platforms like Twitter and reddit to share my Hive content mostly I used to be more active on reddit but from past few weeks I more active on Twitter because and I can see that. I only consume data from these two platforms and for other things I am dependent on YouTube rest I don't use any other platforms.
