Community belonging is Hive biggest strength

Sometimes we take thongs for granted and I think one of those is what the Hive blockchain offers to its users: community belonging. Finding a digital space where you can feel good, cozy, energized and informed is not easy in the sea of Internet. And with AI putting its mark everywhere, it is harder to find a genuine place where human connections can still happen. And while there might be some AI pollution also on Hive, I think that the human footprint is bigger than that. And also I feel there is some pushback for content and engagement through AI, thus real interactions are still a reality in this ecosystem.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against AI content, but I believe its place should be more on the technical, analytical and informative side. Creativity should still be an expression of humans as that comes from within and is easier and genuinely to resonate with the output of that. Rather than reading or interacting with an entity that feeds what you want to hear and read, simply feels like cheating. AI should be more utilitarian in my view without spawning everywhere and making it impossible to differentiate from the human touch. A disclaimer wouldn't hurt for highly or fully concentrated AI content.

AI utility has its place and if a model gives me a piece of information that can make me rich 😆, I don't mind even upvoting it. But knowing that it came from it should have some visibility and be true of its nature and not hidden behind a mask. Also it shouldn't crawl in every space that Hive offers as such a mix up can create confusion about the digested content and synthetic interactions.

Coming back to what I wanted to write in this article, I see Hive's communities as the most powerful instrument that we can leverage compared to other social media apps and web3 platforms. The feeling of belonging that communities offer, simply ensure user's retention in this ecosystem. And we can simply look at Splinterlands and see what an amazing community it has and how users uplift each other in both the game itself and surrounding ecosystem. Splinterlands content is highly curated and supported by so many from us.

Probably if Hive wouldn't have communities, I wouldn't be here as I would have felt isolated. But by exploring them, i could resonate and find common interests in many of them. My account has mixed content because of that and in the past it was even more diverse. More joining multiple communities expands the sources of inspiration when wanting to write content. We all know and even experienced writer's blockage, thus joining more communities will increase our horizons and ley us write on so many more subjects that I find it difficult not to be able to find any inspiration at some point in time.

Leveraging communities on the Hive blockchain and beyond can be a great marketing dimension in itself. This is an organic expansion that we can do, the effort is minimal and the benefits are proving themselves in time. We are more powerful united than standing alone, thus let's find our space(s) and engage. This is the way! 😉
