LeoVerse : The Decentralized Social Media for WEB 3.0 | Leo Finance: Kingdom of the Content Creator

Hello Everyone,
Today I am coming with my another Long Form posts on Leo Finance. Today I am going to make a detailed article about LeoVerse and Leo Finance as a submission of the Finance Bro Adventure on Zealy Adoption Campaign.

• What is Leo Finance
  LeoFinance is a WEB 3.0 ecosystem that develops and manages a wide range of blockchain-based applications. It launched in July 2019 as a social media platform for crypto and finance content. The platform has since evolved in our journey to become a multi-blockchain Web3 ecosystem: A community and organization operating blockchain-based applications that fulfill their mission of revolutionizing the world of self-directed investing and utilization of Web3 and tokenization. The community and their social platform (LeoFinance.io) are the base layer (Layer 0) of the entire LeoFinance project. The community doesn't just create and interact with content, they research and disseminate incredible ideas as they all live on the bleeding edge of technology, finance and the crypto industry. Many would describe them as a tokenized community for crypto creators but since mid 2020, this vision has reshaped itself into something much more dynamic alongside the continual evolution of Web3 and Cryptocurrencies. ¹

• Leo Finance Visions for WEB 3.0
  Their vision of WEB 3.0 is centered around the democratization of financial access and opportunities. Building a wide array of applications, tools and opportunities for their users, they're actively on the bleeding edge of WEB 3.0 and testing the bounds of what's possible. The definition of WEB 3.0 is dynamic. It is not static like that of WEB 1.0 or even WEB 2.0. Instead, a state of constant evolution must be pursued. We can see this if we follow the history of Leo Finance as they emerged from a simple blogging layer and expanded into a true WEB 3.0 ecosystem with opportunities for their users that now encompasses everything from Tokenized Social Media to Decentralized Finance (DeFi).

• WEB 3.0 is more than Social Media
  WEB 3.0 is about decentralizing and democratizing the access that retail investors and average users have to the amazing opportunities of the new age of the internet. Even in a place like America, retail investors are limited in what they have access to from an investment perspective. They're not allowed to participate in VC investing, for example, unless they're an accredited investor. WEB 3.0 democratizes access to opportunities like this via Smart Contracts that live on various blockchains like Ethereum. Leo Finance isn't just a social media community. Their Layer 0 lives on a social blockchain where they engage with each other on-chain every single day. From there, they have other layers of opportunities and access that their community taps into on a daily basis. ²

Leo Finance has a number of projects covered. All these projects are very important for Hive career. Even I use some of these software almost every day. Now I will describe the projects of Leo Finance.

• Leo Threads
  Leothreads is a recent addition under the Leofinance User Interface. This is bringing microblogging to the Hive ecosystem. It is part of the Leofinance site although any application on Hive can incorporate it. The idea of LeoThreads is to develop Twitter on the Blockchain. By using a decentralized, immutable database with account ownership, one cannot have their data removed. This is not the case with Web 2.0 platforms such as Twitter. After joining here I can express my daily variety of feelings in 250 word threads. Leothreads is even more user-friendly than Twitter, where you can easily create a thread or comment on others' threads. Engaging with others, especially through comments, is unparalleled.

• Leo Dex
  LeoDex is a project that we run under LeoFinance. It’s an exchange interface that connects to the Hive-Engine project on the Hive blockchain. With LeoDex, you can trade and manage your Hive-based tokens. We’ve added (and continue to add) a wide variety of features based on what our community asks for. You can think of this page as a documentation guide for LeoDex – we’ll explore each page of the Dex and talk about the core features that are available. The market page on LeoDex is also the homepage of the site. If you go directly to https://dex.leofinance.io, it will open the market page for the LEO token. ³

• Cub Finance
  Operational since March 2021, CubFinance is a DeFi platform that operates the Multi-Token Bridge (MTB). The MTB allows derivative assets to be permissionlessly swapped across blockchains and pooled on BNB Smart Chain (BSC) to earn yield and trade assets. The MTB Launched in August 2022 and serves as the core business model behind Cub Finance and the CUB DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Cub Finance operates on a buy and burn model. The protocol strategically pays yield to Liquidity Providers who create the foundation of the platform. The Multi-Token Bridge (MTB) shows us the future of CUB: becoming a derivative DeFi exchange. By creating, developing and operating the MTB, they are able to generate a disproportionate amount of monthly revenue for the CUB DAO Protocol. ⁴

• Leo Glossary
  Leo Glossay is a resource center that focuses upon areas of investing, finance, and cryptocurrency. This is a database full of terms that will aid people in their learning about such topics. Web 3.0 is changing many aspect the business world. What was once pleasure can now be considered a business. Also, with the introduction of tokenization, everyone who is involved with cryptocurrency is going to require some financial acumen. In addition to being an education center, LeoGlossary provides content creators with the means to spice up their articles by utilizing the many links provided. This can enhance the understanding of the reader along with creating backlinks for each topic. Finally, in addition to the terms listed on each page based upon the letter they start with, we also provide lists that help to segment based upon topic. This is a way for quick reference of information. This is an ever growing body of information that will expand into many areas in the future. ⁵

• Start your Career on Leo Finance
  To login to LeoFinance.io, you just need to get yourself a Hive blockchain account. There are a ton of ways to do that and if you’d like to get a free account + a delegation of currency to help grow your account, you can signup with Hiveonboard (and also read our Onboarding guide at leopedia.io/onboard). Again, if you have any questions or need help in any way, just get in touch with Leo Finance discord or Twitter. Once you have a Hive blockchain account, you have two methods available for logging in to LeoFinance.io. The first is to login using your private posting key. This is one of the keys that came with your Hive account when you created it. It (and the other private keys) always start with the number “5”. Be very careful with how you store and use these keys. Each key unlocks a different level of security to your account. To login to LeoFinance for blogging/commenting/upvoting purposes, the private posting key is recommended. Your private active key is required for transferring LEO or HIVE and managing other wallet-related functions. Use the private active key more sparingly as it controls the funds in your account. Just like a password or PIN number to your bank account, it is obviously a bad idea to let these keys fall into any hands that aren’t your own.

• How to Create blogs on Leo Finance
  Creating a blog post on LeoFinance is a very easy process. Once you’re logged in, just click the “Pencil” icon in the top right corner and it will take you to the “Create a Post” page.

• Title: Enter the primary title for your post

• Body: Write your post. This field is styled in markdown which is has an extensive set of codes that can help you add more advanced style to your posts. Things like header text, italic, bold, image links, image sizing, charts, etc. can be created in markdown styling

• Tags: This is where you put the tags for your post. Just separate each tag with a space. When you post from LeoFinance, it automatically adds the #leofinance tag to indicate that your post is from the community. Other tags that you use should relate to the content of your post (i.e. if you’re creating a post about your recent trade in Amazon stock, then you might add the tags: amazon investing amzn stocks money trading)

• Advanced settings: Advanced Settings offer a few more advanced options to posting from LeoFinance. Here, you can set post beneficiaries and even save your own templates to load in future posts

• Hit the button: When you’re done with your post, just hit the big “Post” button and you’ll see your post shoot onto the blockchain!

• Preview: You can preview your post as you’re writing it by viewing the preview box just below the Post button

• Markdown Styling Guide: This is the same guide as linked above in these bullet points. It will take you to a page that explains all the different things that you can do in markdown styling. ⁶
