Saturday Savers 2025 Progress Report - Week 52, End of the Year

Yes, it's the final #SaturdaySavers update of 2025..... and I'm thoroughly late doing it !

Christmas, family and it being the busiest week of the year in my business have put me back a bit.

Here's my table of progress for the week (and the year !);

How Did The Week Go ?

Last week was overwhelming in real life, so I hardly had time to get onto Hive. I still did a couple of posts, and curation was done in short concentrated bursts every couple of days. Not ideal, but hopefully things will ease up once the New Year is over.

I've got a couple of SBI's still to give out, which I'll get onto later this evening.

Results for the Year

Overall, the year was one of massive volatility within Hive, which had quite an impact on the performance of my account.

This meant that I hit my HBD goal, and then made a strategic calculation that it was getting too close to haircut territory for my risk appetite, so I switched my HBD for liquid HIVE. With the price so low, that got me a LOT of HIVE !

It meant that I was able to power up lots of it to instantly hit my HP goal, although it was artificial because I was effectively buying it rather than earning it.

The big fails during the year were that I struggled to hit my projected number of posts and comments, and until I dumped all the HBD-derived HIVE into HP, I was failing on my Hive Power goal (which in retrospect was admittedly massively over-optimistic).

But on the up-side, I hit my Tribe Token goals for LEO and BBHO, as well as my delegation and SBI goals. My non-goal stats (the ones I was monitoring without setting a goal) were also respectable, with my VESTS increasing from 18,851,891 to 26,885,866.

Next Year

Next year, there isn't a #SaturdaySavers - after many years of running it, @shanibeer is taking a much-deserved retirement.

But over the last three years, the project has given me a huge amount of focus in keeping my account on track. So next year, I'm planning to move my updates to the Busy Bees community, set up by @zakludick and doing a great job of helping users with smaller accounts learn and grow. Hopefully I'll see a few of my #SaturdaySavers friends over there !
