Saturday Savers 2024 Progress Report - Week

I'm a day late with my #SaturdaySavers update.... but here it is !

How Did The Week Go ?

It's been an absolutely crazy week, so I haven't been able to get onto Hive nearly as much as I should have.

A lot of the week was taken up with getting a replacement car; it's something that's been on the radar for a while, but suddenly became a bit more urgent. I finally picked one up on Thursday, and within 48 hours I'd broken it....

The tyre isn't supposed to look like that. I spent pretty much all of Saturday either standing by the roadside waiting for recovery, or sitting around in the tyre place while they replaced the tyres and fixed the damage. It was a £500 day. Ouch.

Combined with it being the last week when people could place orders on the website for Christmas, it was a bonkers few days ! I didn't get on Hive much, but still managed to keep up with curation.

Other than that, the actual numbers remain healthy. I don't expect them to be so good next week when this week's rewards come in, but that's okay. I've hit all but two of my 2024 targets, and know there's no chance of hitting the other two unless I win the lottery and can buy HBD and break a leg so I have no way of doing anything except making lots of Hive posts to beat the goal. But I'd rather focus on quality rather than quantity anyway !

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
