HPUD - Hive Power Up Day October 2026

It's the first day of the month, and that makes it Hive Power Up Day !

I've done my bit this month, powering up some of my liquid HIVE;

How Did The Month Go ?

Hive felt a lot more positive this month. I think it is mainly because the price has been edging upwards rather than falling down as it has for so long. I'd describe it as small green shoots rather than a full recovery.

HIVE's price has gone from £0.03218 on 1st September to £0.04268 today, while the GBP-USD exchange rate has dropped from 1.35 to 1.32. In dollar terms, the HIVE price has changed from $0.0435 to $0.05634.

Personally I think I'd prefer a gradual steady long term climb than a sudden spike followed by a crash. It's a pattern which might not be as dramatic (both ways !) but indicates the underlying strength of Hive as an actual ecosystem.

The Hive Debt Ratio has dropped healthily, although it now seems to have stalled, hovering around the 20.5-21% range. That's frustrating ! Once it drops below 20%, some of the author rewards will start to be paid out in HBD again, which I think will be a big motivator.

My own Hive Power has grown quite nicely over the month. After HPUD on 1st September it stood at 26871. Now, with 1000 HIVE powered up today, it's at 28288, which means actual earnings were 417HP (but bear in mind that I also earned 193 liquid HIVE as well). When you consider that real life has been really crazy recently so I haven't posted as much as I should have, I think that's a decent result.

So Happy October HPUD friends, I hope you have a wonderful Spookie Month 😁
