It's the first day of the month, and that makes it Hive Power Up Day !

I've done my bit this month, powering up some of my liquid HIVE;

It's definitely a case at the moment that HIVE powered up into HP is the way to go !
It generates good growth, even though the reality is that the growth kind of balances out price changes, which is actually exactly what you'd expect in terms of the way inflation works. Unlike the real world, we've got some level of control over how much HIVE we earn. Here, we can curate or post more to grow our earnings, while in the real world both wages and the return on investments are relatively stagnant, out of our control, and are well below the real rate of inflation.
I must admit I had to scratch my head a little at what's going on with the Hive price. Inflation is still a challenge, but I think we're all far more aware of it now even if solutions are taking time to kick in. The Hive Debt dropped a little but is up this week, and that's primarily down to price movements. Hive's volatility seems to be better than most crypto's, but it's still mirroring the high level of geopolitical uncertainty in the world.
Overall, it feels to me (purely on gut instinct) that Hive is starting to stabilise, which is a healthy development.

For August, I'm going to set myself a challenge, and it's one I urge everyone to do it possible. Tell one person an aspect of Hive that is likely to bring them in - whether it's long-form posting, short form on Snapie.io or Leo Threads, a game or whatever - but (and here's the clever part) without mentioning crypto or the possibility of earnings.
The logic is simple. We need more Hivers ! But we want them to be here because all the wonderful tools and dapps are useful to them in the real world, not because they think it's easy money. Where I am, the legacy finance companies have poisoned the image of crypto, and I find it more useful to talk about Hive without mentioning that angle at all.
Let's see what happens !
