It's the first day of the month, and that makes it Hive Power Up Day !

I've done my bit this month, powering up 1000 of my liquid HIVE;

That has finally put me over the 20K HP threshold, a day I thought would never come. I know that makes me still a small account compared to many, but it still feels like an achievement π

It's been a tough month in all kinds of ways ! I spent a big chunk of it in bed with a fairly serious chest infection, while still trying to run my business (the downside of being very much a micro-business).
In the meantime, World War III seems to have started, and that's had an impact on stock markets and crypto prices. Strangely, gold prices haven't jumped up as I'd normally expect when the world catches fire, which makes me strongly suspect price manipulation on a grand scale.
But I'm still plodding along in my little corner of Hive π I've automated some of my curation, and posted a little despite every paragraph being interrupted with a coughing fit.
The price of HIVE has dipped some more, and HBD is struggling to stay pegged to the US Dollar so it looks like we might get an HBD haircut in a couple of weeks, but that's all okay. It means I've been able to sell just about all my HBD for an awesome number of HIVE, so when the price does finally go up I'll be in a very good place. It's also given me a nice reserve of liquid HIVE to use on HPUD for the foreseeable future.
While it would be nice to see the HIVE price climbing, in many ways it doesn't matter. Hive is still a great social platform, a nice place to post creative writing, and I'm still seeing people developing amazing new apps and dapps on it.
So despite the world's insanity, I'm still a fan of Hive. This is just a bit of a winnowing process that will make those who stick with it emerge stronger on the other side.

Congrats on reaching 20K HPβsuch a great achievement! π What inspired you to power up 1000 HIVE this month?
20k! Hell yeah dude, well done!
And yeah, I have the same view on Hive as a whole: price doesn't matter to me. I've seen 10c to 50c before, and I'm sure I'll see it again. Long game, it doesn't matter what the current price is.
I'm hoping to get back to more regular blogging now that hockey season is done and we've got a bit more free time with the kids. Glad to hear that the chest infection has gotten a bit better!
