Hive Power Up Day November 2024

It's the 11th HPUD of the year, and so far I've managed to do something on every one.

I reckon we should get some kind of extra badge in Hivebuzz if we can do all 12 power up days in a year 😁

I powered up 400 HP this time;

Powering up this much feels a bit like a cheat to hit my self-created target. I made the target up in January, assuming that things like the economy and Hive price would remain reasonably stable. Just goes to show how wrong I can be !

Over the last month, I focused on trying to be a bit more consistent with my posting, while also trying to ensure I maintained post quality and curated as normal. It certainly paid dividends, and I actually managed to get a Monthly Posted badge in Hivebuzz - only my second, I usually struggle to post every day (real life can do that to you...)

While I was looking at Hivestats.io to pull down the graph of account growth, I noticed something interesting, as shown in the extract below;

Yes, almost exactly half of my earnings last month came from curation. I didn't plan it that way, but it just goes to show how much it's worth putting the effort in. Some of the impact is down to my vote value increasing as my HP has grown. I curate manually rather than using any kind of automation. It takes longer, but it means I get to read some awesome posts and learn things along the way !

So all in all, my Hive account seems to be going in a positive direction. All I have to do now is keep up the consistency for the last two months of 2024 !
