A Day of Creativity, Celebration and Learning Shared by Parents and Children Together

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Tuesday.

Today, I want to share one of my experiences as a mother. I realized that being a parent in daycare is not only about bringing our children to school every day. We also have a responsibility to help our teachers whenever there are school activities.

Recently, we had a classroom beautification activity at our daycare school. Since there are many students and they are still very active and playful, we know that our teacher cannot do everything alone. That is why we, the parents, volunteered to help. Nowadays Teachers are so busy in many tasks and they need the helping hands especially as parents.

One of our projects was making a floor mat for the classroom. We wanted the room to look cleaner and more comfortable for the children. While some parents worked on placing the floor mat, others removed weeds around the school. Some also went to the garden to gather grass to make the surroundings look good and clean.

I was happy to see that everyone had something to do. No one complained, and we all helped in our own way. It made the work easier and faster because we worked together.

The day became even more special because it was also one of the children's birthdays. Instead of giving expensive gifts, the classmates each brought a flower for the birthday celebrant. It was simple but meaningful. The birthday family also prepared bread and juice for the children, and everyone enjoyed the small celebration. They enjoy singing a happy birthday song.

While we were busy helping outside, the children were also busy inside the classroom. They made their own name tags. Some chose colorful designs, while others made simple and neat ones. It was nice to see each child using their own creativity. They were excited to show their finished name tags to us.

As a mother, moments like this remind me that learning does not only happen inside the classroom. Children also learn by seeing their parents help, cooperate, and support their school. They learn that working together is important and that everyone can contribute in simple ways.

I am thankful that I was able to join this activity. It was another opportunity to spend time with my child, help our teacher, and meet other parents. Small efforts from each parent can make a big difference for our children. Also our friendship goes stronger and we build a camaraderie towards others.
