Actually, this trip was never planned it just happened. Spending holidays with family is the tradition to our family. In memories of my late Father who always reminds us to unite every special occasions or holidays is something that we cannot put off because its our joy to celebrate days with each other to make memories and to keep our children close to their auntie/uncle/cousins. This is how we keep our strong family ties. Yearly, this is the time that we are looking forward to, we are always excited planning and delegating task with my 9 siblings.
The original plan was for us to celebrate Christmas and New Year at our ancestral house in Bayambang, Pangasinan (located at northern part of the Philippines, small provincial town). We spent thanksgiving as always and planning for the whole year round activities birthdays, gatherings name it. After December 25, we think of something to do more with our stay before going back to Manila after New Year, so we came up with the idea to spend it in a nice beach since we thought that beaches arenโt crowded at that time because everyone wants to be at home to welcome the new year so we did the other way around. We spot some nice beach to choose from and we found Masamirey Beach Cove in Sual Pangasinan, Philippines.
We drove for 2 hours from our home to barangay Baybay Norte Sual Pangasinan where Masamirey beach cove is located. Along the way, we buy some stuffs that we need such as foods, drinks and fresh fish and meats so that we have something to cook for our overnight stay at the beach, Yes, we are going to spend the night on the shore having tents and beddings. We made sure to check some reviews from previous guest on their fb page if the place is safe and secure and we find 4.9/5 ratings so we push through with this trip!
So busy enjoying the place this is the only photos of food taken. But we also prepared grill fish, pork and vegetable!
More than us, these kids enjoys more for sure. After wearing sunscreen we let them play in the water because the waves are calm also skies are not too sunny thatโs why the kids enjoy bathing without sunburns. ๐
My favorite part is watching the sunset, the golden hour. Itโs really breathtaking itโs surreal as if we are looking at the painting. The best decision that weโve made before ending holidays and closing the year together before going back to the reality and own lives. We are so grateful with such experience that keeps another pile of core memories not only for us but most specially to our kids. We surely do this next holiday.
