Hi @miljo76! Very nice post and photos. My father comes from Chios and you just reminded me of how much I want to re-visit his birthplace. Allow me a quick note: ouzo doesn't come from masticha. Ouzo comes from grapes mostly and sometimes (very rarely) maight be scented. Mostly we put star anise in it... I hope you don't mind..

Of course I don't mind, thanks for your correction. I wrote Ouzo instead of Mastika, and I was referring to the Mastika liqueur. My mistake! I'll correct it in my text. We had a truly unforgettable holiday on Chios! I hope you will soon be able to visit your father's birthplace. Thanks for stopping by!
