The worst heat and humidity I can recall was in Puerto Rico in the middle of August after a hurricane hit. No power for two weeks and nothing but humidity and heat. You would lay in bed and sweat yourself to sleep... I was never more grateful for electricity than when I had a working A/C again!

That sounds horrible! I can't even imagine! I mean we had a storm at our old house that knocked out power and it was heavy that night with no A/C, but that was the middle of Michigan, not somewhere in the doorstep of a tropical rainforest!
