Yeah when I worked in Africa, I spend so much time trying to educate people on rubbish. They did that too, complained about the rats, and I was but you throw rubbish out, that attracts the rats and they in turn attract snakes as they have a food source.
It was a never ending battle and sad to see things haven't changed.

I forgot that you worked here, and one would think that the threat of snakes would be a great motivator to stop lettering in its tracks, but sadly not to be. Old habits die hard my friend.
