Christmas With Superheroes in Claveria: Creativity, Recycle & Pure Joy

Christmas remains the best time of the year for me at 41. The air feels different when the Christmas months come, the Christmas carols give a different sensation to my ears, and the Christmas decorations hung everywhere look beautiful to my eyes. And I just realized Christmas is coming again.

I want to share some of the photos we had two years back when we visited the DC Comics and Marvel Themed Christmas of the municipality of Claveria, Misamis Oriental. That was one of the best Christmas themes I've ever seen. Life-sized Marvel and DC Comics characters were displayed just right in front of their municipal hall.

We never knew that Claveria had its yearly Christmas theme displays; we just went there to visit one of its tourist attractions. And take note, some of the materials used were recycled materials in building those figures, showcasing resourcefulness, creativity, and innovation. When we passed by their municipal hall, one of our kids shouted, "Wow! Spiderman!" pointing his fingers outside the window. It was then that we noticed the different figures they had. We turned around, going back to the municipal hall, and there they were, the DC and the Marvels!

We started taking photos with The Flash. The kids were amazed by this bright red figure together with his red shuttle-like vehicle, where kids can get inside and make their poses from the shuttle's window.

Batman looked amazing, too! He also has his car beside him, where kids can simulate as if they were driving Batman's car.

Deadpool made a nice pose between the other figures. It was just then that I knew this character. Hahahhaha, he was sexy.

Spiderman looked thinner then. I hope he will gain some weight this coming Christmas. Hahahahhaha.

Incredible Hulk was like the center among figures. He stood on an elevated platform with his bulky green body. The kids love him!

And there was Thanos, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, the cosmic glove that holds the Infinity Stones, granting him near-omnipotent powers.

Thor, the Norse god of thunder, was there too! I wonder how many times Thor goes to the gym every day, hahahahaha. But I love his winged helmet.

Who will not recognize the very popular among Marvel characters, Superman! His blue suit and red cape attract both children and adults.

And because Superman was there, Wonder Woman must be there too! Flaunting her sexy curves, she proudly stands in her two-piece suit! She's pretty.

The show is not complete without Captain America! Wearing his bold red, white, and blue colors suit, adorned with stars and stripes.

Iron Man made his pose too!

And the last figure is Green Arrow, who is not a Marvel but a DC Comics character wearing his signature green costume, bow and arrow, and quiver.

That was an unforgettable encounter with the DCs and the Marvels. It was not only the kids who enjoyed that but also us, the adults. It was educational on the other side.

Claveria has different Christmas themes yearly. Whatever their theme is coming Christmas 2025, for sure you will not regret stopping there for a while and enjoying their showcase of amazing, beautiful, educational, and Christmas joy theme.

In Claveria, we discovered something truly special at Christmas. Superheroes made from recycled materials stand proudly in front of the municipal hall. The children climbed into The Flash’s red vehicle, imagined driving inside Batman’s car, and laughed beside Deadpool. The towering Hulk, majestic Superman, courageous Wonder Woman, and heroic Captain America all seemed to come alive.

It wasn’t just decoration, it was a creative, eco-friendly celebration that sparked joy in both adults and kids. Claveria’s holiday displays remind us that magic comes from imagination, community, and caring for our world.
