This is the 13th post of Manali Leh Highway series, in previous posts of this series you have covered Himalayan Shepherds, Life of Changpa Tribe, Himalayan Rickshaw Run, Lahaul Valley, Maure Plains Tanglang La, Naki La, Leh, Rohtang Pass, Lahaul Valley and Maure Plains Viewed the landscapes of the storm and came to know about this colorful earth. Today in this series we will talk about the high snowy mountains located on the Manali Leh Highway.
Today's post is a bit special for me, I have always loved close ups of landscapes and mountains. And today I have given this gift to myself. So friends get ready to see the faces of high mountains covered with snow. The Trans Himalaya is so big and high that even if the Trans Himalaya were a human being, he would never be able to see its entire expanse.
The first photo is of Friendship Peak, this peak is 5190 meters high, standing at the confluence of Dhauladhar mountain range and Pir Panjal mountain range. I summited this peak in 2019. The wrinkle of the mountain's forehead can be easily seen behind the clouds. In the second photo, the golden light of the sun rising on Dhauladhar's shoulders can be seen. Sunrise is converting the mountains into gold.
In some photos, 6500 meter high mountains are standing tall on the chest of the earth, looking at these mountains it seems as if they want to say something but they are unable to find the words. It seemed as if the snow had sealed the lips of all these mountains. Hanuman Tibba is the king of Solang Valley, its height is 5980 meters. It is the boyfriend of the 7 highest peaks of Solang and its appearance becomes more beautiful when snow falls.
Ghepan Mountain is also known as the King of Lahaul Valley, the local people worship this mountain and in return this mountain protects the Lahaul Valley day and night. Ghepan mountain is no less than a god for Lahaul. Whenever clouds appear over Ghepan, people understand that winter is about to come.
Lahaul Valley is behind Shikhar Baha whose height is 6600 meters. There is a huge glacier situated on the backyard of Shikhar Baha which you can see in the photo. Seeing this reminds me of Khumbu Icefall. Above the village of Keylong are 7 peaks which are also known as 7 sisters. The people of Keylong believe that these 7 sisters protect the village of Keylong.
In all these photos, some mountains have names and some are nameless. Those who are nameless have no greed of any kind. They are just standing at one place for centuries. Only one thing happens here and that is the falling of snow in winter. These are such hard mountains that avalanches never occur on these mountains when excessive snow falls. These mountains do not return even a single piece of what they receive from nature. If we find snow, we embrace it in our arms.

Truly amazing. The highest peak here in PH is only 2900+. I can't imagine climbing 5000 masl and above. Wow!
Here vehicles run at 5000 masl. 2900m is a good height, what is the name of this peak of Philippines?.
Climbing 5000 meters is a bit difficult because you are above the tree line and the oxygen level is also low, but the experience at such a height is also different.
Outstanding captures! Wow!!!
