Earlier in winter this valley used to get buried under snow but now due to construction of tunnel this valley remains open for tourists even in winter.

Go to Lahaul by taking the Rohtang Pass course or reach here by crossing the Atal Tunnel. In both the cases, Spiti route will come on your right hand side from which you cross the Kunzum Pass and enter another special valley of Himachal. And if you go left then you can go to Leh and Zanskar valley via Lahaul. Lahaul Valley is the gateway to Spiti, Leh and Zanskar Valley.
