RE: Discovering Jingshan Park: A true gem to travel

(edited)

In the first week of May, I enjoyed a beautiful five-day break from work, which is the May Day vacation in China. It gave me a great chance to find Beijing's hidden gems. After exploring more than a dozen places in the city, I found that Jingshan Park was still left behind in my travel history. Furthermore, it is right behind the famous Forbidden Kingdom, the top tourist destination. Also, the spring season is the best time to visit such royal gardens, so it was at the top of my list.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
It's even cooler when you look closer at Jingshan Park, which you also wrote about in your previous post!

I knew the reputation of the Forbidden City, but I didn't know about Jingshan Park!

I admire your great insight and critique!😃

The white-stone lions and other inscribed statues are beautiful. Though they have some significance and meaning in China I don't know most of their significance but I always explore them everywhere.

White-stone lions are shishi (石獅; shíshī), Chinese guardian lions.
White-stone lions are the symbol of Chinese emperors.
Modern Western scholars assume that white-stone lions became a symbol of Chinese emperors when Indian Buddhism entered China.

I assume that the white-stone lions may have imitated The Lion Capital of Ashoka.

Hassan!
Do you know about Buddhism in India?😄

Yeah, the Park is so beautiful to explore but I made it finally with a details exploration session. I didn't about the lions but there are some stories regarding lions in Chinese culture and I can find them in almost all the royal tourist spots here in China.

Maybe the story of Ashok influenced that time and I don't know the details of those mythologies. Also, I don't know much about Buddhism in India. I think the Aryan people dominated the region and hey pushed Buddhism to far eastern Asia also the 4 classifications in the Hindu religion came from them to make the ancient residents of this region lower rank in the cast system which I really hate. However, I don't have much more in-depth knowledge regarding the history or the mythology. Thanks for reading my post.

assalam alaikum! My bro Hassan!
Your travels always give me great pleasure!😄

I also oppose the Hindu caste system!

By the way, The sensual appearance of Hindu women still gives East Asian men the fantasy of Indo-Aryan women.😆

I hope your happy!

Don no batt!
