BAWBAWON ISLAND, MIS. OCC, PHILIPPINES

Feeling drained and exhausted at work? That’s totally me right now. We all have our own outlets or ways to refresh and recharge, and for me, is to travel and going on adventures to islands and beaches where there’s no signal and also no electricity. So now, let me show you this amazing Island in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, Philippines. “THE BAWBAWON ISLAND”.

We traveled for almost three hours from Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur to Plaridel Port. From there, we rode a small boat for about 10 minutes to reach the stunning, amazing and hidden view of “BAWBAWON ISLAND”. After the boat ride, we walked another 10 minutes to get to the beach area or cottage we booked. The walk was really an adventure itself because it is surrounded by tall coconut trees.
We booked our boat and ordered food a day before our trip so everything was ready when we arrived. The local tour guides were very accommodating and approachable, they even helped prepare and deliver our food packages.




Of course, we brought different outfits, and yes, swimsuits can’t be forgotten Hahaha, for our pictorials. Strolling around the island was so refreshing, the view was really captivating and the water is so inviting. Bawbawon Island has powdery white sand, lots of coconut trees, and it’s very clean and well-maintained by the staff. There are plenty of picture-perfect spots, cozy cottages, and delicious food prepared for visitors and tourists. The best part? Having fun chitchats with friends while eating and just enjoying the moment.


It was also my first time trying a crystal glass kayak. I was under the heat of the sun, posing and taking lots of photos for memories because let’s be honest, pictures are the best souvenirs.
Bawbawon Island is truly one of the most beautiful islands I’ve visited. I highly recommend this hidden paradise in Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, Philippines.
