The Charm of HIGALA Resort

(edited)

Hi Worldmappin Hivers!
Let me take you inside Higala Beach Resort. Higala, in our language, means friends. At the entrance, you can see the carved word, HIGALA. A very welcoming word, calling all visitors, friend.

We had an overnight stay at this resort. My stay at this resort is not the first time. I would like to share some pictures that I was unable to take before.

I love the coziness of the receiving area and the design of their wall. It has a unique color combination of striped wood. A combination of nature and antique. I also like the color combination of the throw pillow, navy blue and orange.
Although the paint on the chairs is a little faded, it is still a good place to hang out. It's a 1990s vibe design. It feels nostalgic as a 1990s kid.

The swing reminds me of when I was young. The swing is one of the rides I always like. The plant at the corner looks wonderful.

There is a surfboard design stuck on the wall. I took a picture of my niece in the middle.

This is the second floor of the room we rented. It has a slanted roof which makes it unique.

On the left corner is a warm area where anyone can chill and relax while having a snack or playing a board game on the wooden center table. The carpet is beautifully patterned with big throw pillows with almost the same pattern as the mat. There are also creative paintings hanging on the wall.

On the right is a unique corner showing rustic rattan small chairs. A chaise lounge with a green pillow. The area has a green accent. It's a mixture of vintage and modern elements that makes it inviting. The painting is a portrait of a woman from history and above it is a decorated green scarf.

You can sit here facing the beachfront window.

These are the doors of the two air-conditioned rooms upstairs. It looks like the color of the paint on my grandmother's house. I feel so attached to this resort for that reason.

Each room has one big bunk bed and one king-sized bed. I just love the style of the window curtain. There is a decorative white piece with rings hanging on the wall. (Pardon the broom captured in the photo 😁)

Here's the living area of another room downstairs.

Then I took photos of these wooden shelves displaying decorative plates, each with simple, complex, and colorful designs. What a unique idea.

The beauty of all is that this photographed sunset reflects in the water. The finest sand you can stand and walk barefoot. Sitting on the sand and watching the waves wash over me is something I love to do. I love this scene.

This is an early morning view. The water looks calm and peaceful. Doesn't it resemble frozen ice?

I hope you like the uniqueness and simplicity of the resort.

Thanks for swinging by my blog. Until next...

Note: The first photo was edited by Canva and all photos were taken by me.

Higala , I never knew that word. So salamat higala.
That place looks so cool and the faded blues and wood does give it such a coastal vibe.
I love it, it looks so rustic and homely and comfortable, my sort of place😎

The resort has a homey vibe thus making their guests feel comfortable. The view outside is relaxing; nice weather and perfect blue sky. There are some interesting decorative elements in their rooms too. This resort reminds you of your grandmother; that's a lovely thought.

You're right, it does have a homey vibe. The beach was so calm at that time, giving a much relaxing scene. The paint and style of the building remind me of my grandmother's house.
