Starting A New Year with A Heart-Warming Mini Reunion with My High School Friends at Roberto’s Diner!🥰

Good day to my beautiful fellas!👋 Hello to all of my friends here and of course to all my dear fellow hivers in this lovely @bayanihive community! How are you all today? I hope everyone is doing fine right now. Here I am again, @lj1728 to share another simple life story with you all.😊

This January, I had the chance to experience a heart-warming mini reunion with four of my high school classmates, and it was one of those moments that instantly filled my heart with joy and nostalgia. It all started with a simple message I received on Messenger. One of them chatted me to say that they were back on our hometown and had planned a small gathering. Without hesitation, we all agreed to meet for dinner at Roberto’s Diner.

We decided to meet at 6:00 in the evening. After getting ready, I asked my husband to drop me off at our meeting place. I felt a mix of excitement and curiosity while on the way. I am excited to see familiar faces again and curious about how much we had all changed through the years. To my surprise, I arrived first among the five of us. As I waited, memories from our high school days slowly came rushing back.

After a few minutes, one by one, my classmates arrived. Seeing them felt both familiar and new at the same time. There were smiles, warm hugs, and the usual “ang tagal na natin hindi nagkita” moments. Once we all settled, we ordered pizza and pancit, along with a few bottles of SanMig apple to complete the night. The food was good, but what truly made the evening special was the laughter and stories we shared.

As we talked, it felt like time had rewind. We laughed about our teenage adventures, shared funny high school memories, and talked about where life has taken us since graduation. For a moment, it felt like we were back in our high school era—carefree, loud, and endlessly amused by each other’s stories! The years apart did not seem to matter at all.

That mini reunion reminded me how precious old friendships are. Life may keep us busy and take us in different directions, but when we finally had time to reconnect, it feels liks nothing has changed. I went home that night with a happy heart, grateful for the laughter, the memories, and the friendships that continue to stay strong despite time and distance. It was truly a simple yet meaningful night I will always treasure!
