Hello everyone! Hello to my dear friends and fellow hivers in this lovely @bayanihive community! I hope everyone is doing great right now. This is me again, “LJ” to share another simple and wonderful life story with you all.

Yesterday started a little differently because of the heavy rain the night before. Sometime in the evening, the power went out, and by morning we were still experiencing a brownout. Thankfully, we were prepared. We had several emergency lights at home, which made things easier and kept the house from being too dark or stressful. Moments like this really remind me how important it is to be ready for unexpected situations, especially during rainy season.

Since there was no electricity, we kept the morning simple and relaxed. For brunch, I enjoyed veggie rolls with peanut sauce that I had ordered online earlier. It was such a satisfying meal. Kinda light and filling, and the peanut sauce added a rich flavor that made it extra special. Eating together without rushing felt nice, and it somehow made the quiet morning more peaceful despife the lack of power.

After brunch, I invited my hubby to go with me to Osave to restock our fridge. We’ve made it a habit to shop there because the prices are really budget-friendly. It feels so fulfilling to know that we can save a lot while still buying quality items for our home. As we walked through the aisles, we picked up essentials and snacks, already planning what we could prepare once we got back. Small errands like this feel more meaningful when done together.

When we arrived home, we immediately organized the groceries and placed everything neatly in the fridge and pantry. Once we were done, my husband suggested a movie marathon, which sounded like the perfect way to spend the rest of the day. I cooked some of the snacks that we bought from Osave like french fries, pork lumpia, and chicken nuggets to enjoy while watching. The smell of freshly cooked snacks filled the house, instantly making it feel warmer and cozier.

Even without electricity earlier, the day turned out to be comforting and enjoyable. Simple food, shared laughter, and quality time with my hubby made everything feel complete. It reminded me that happiness doesn’t always come from big plans, but from making the most out of ordinary days together.

And that’s it for today’s blog! Thank you for dropping by and taking the time to read my simple life story. I hope to see you on my next one! Have a nice day ahead to all of us.
